Granted, few (if any) large-scale apartment owners read this blog. But you can't complain that we didn't warn you.
Of course, this applies to condo owners and single-family homeowners, too.
...Some residents of an apartment building in a hip Chattanooga neighborhood had a terrifying night recently when an electric vehicle parked in the building’s garage spontaneously erupted in flames during the wee hours of the night.
“Electric vehicle started major apartment fire in Chattanooga” [WTVC – 12/17/2024]
Five people were hospitalized....
A number of other cars were either burned up or suffered serious heat damage.
What's the lesson here?
Never, Ever, allow an EV to park inside a garage.
If you're observant, you'll notice that car dealers NEVER have an EV inside their showroom, and only allow EV's into the service area when they are being repaired--but never overnight.
There's a reason for that.
