On true crime shows, when the DNA and fingerprint and blood spatter evidence all point to guilt. Plus the cell phone records and banking records and credit card transactions and surveillance camera images all point to guilt. There is the occasional interview with the lifelong friend, or spouse or parent, incredulous that the perpetrator is truly a monster.
