This is a memorable line.
...President Trump was a wrecking ball to American politics. This was salutary. It shook conservatives out of an old consensus and opened up new possibilities for public policy. --Chris Rufo
The Old Grift has been partially taken down. That was the one where Republicans promised to undo Democrat over-reach but never did it, because if they actually did it, there would be no crisis for a good shake-down of campaign dollars.
"Partially" taken down because it would take a minimum of 3 terms, maybe 5, to dismantle the D.C. behemoth. Slapping EPA is nice. Disbanding it is ideal. Same with D o Education and HHS. A fifty percent reduction in State and FBI is obviously necessary. There are other agencies which deserve death, too.
The Old Grift Pubbies won't like that. They have lots of vested interests in Big Government and the income opportunities for their friends, families, and stock appreciation from "lucky" purchases.
That was the value of Trump: he clarified who stood with the citizens (the few) and who stood with The Government (the many.)
We should have more Trump.
