We don't condone 'poisoning the well' by attorneys, whether prosecutors or defenders, so maybe Kyle's lawyer should shut up.
Regardless, this is a very telling remark from the Kenosha DA:
...The state also notes that [the defense lawyer] has promoted information that would not be admitted as evidence at trial, such as calling his client "God fearing" and "service oriented," characterizations "which are irrelevant to the facts of the case and only serve to encourage jury nullification."...
Translation: "We have a really shitty case and don't want the deplorables on the jury to get all uppity about 'justice' here."
