Paul Ryan fell all over himself trying to explain how the Senate's immigration abomination was kinda sorta good. Scott Walker had to "clarify" a comment he made on the same topic.
Here are a couple of congresscritters who actually get it:
...“They have shown no respect for traditional Constitutional separation
of powers,” Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tenn., told National Review’s John Fund
about the impact of the ObamaCare delays on the immigration debate, “and
that makes it difficult to pass laws where the fear is that they will
simply ignore the parts they don’t like.”
Carroll goes on to write that, “Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, who is
on the House Judiciary Committee and had been a member of a bipartisan
group working on immigration reform, echoed Roe’s concerns on Meet the
Press. ‘In fact, if you look at this ObamaCare debacle that they have
right now, this administration is actually deciding when and where to
actually enforce the law. And that’s what some of us in the House are
concerned about. If you give to this administration the authority to
decide when they’re going to enforce the law, how they’re going to
enforce the law… what’s going to happen is that we’re going to give
legalization to 11 million people and Janet Napolitano is going to come
to Congress and tell us that the border is already secure and nothing
else needs to happen.’”...
"Selective enforcement" also applies to IRS and the NSA, remember.
So what is the "Rule of Law" these days?
Bueller? Anyone?

Years ago, in the 60's, Eddie Ben Elsen, who was a candidate for Dane County DA, said it best: "Obey only the good laws".
Kind of like how Tim only eats the good donuts (all) and skips only the bad exercise (all).
Eddie's quip is a (very) truncated version of Thomas Aquinas' thinking on the topic.
But we're not talking about "obey." We're talking about "enforce."
Two different things.
Soon you won't have any politicians to idolize. You need to start "enforcing" your will with all that ammo you're buying.
Just thought I'd post another comment to see if I can lure the donut troll out again.
That time would have better spent getting some cardiovascular activity, Tim.
Deal with it.
And Tim, get a new avatar. That photo is at least five years old. There's no way you fit in an XXXL polo now.
And that neckbeard does a lousy job hiding your triple chin.
And you don't work in radio. Your avatar suggests you lie.
Found him, Tim!!
Blah blah blah
Here's Tim Morrissey working at his new 'radio show':

More bad news for Tim Morrissey:

Looks like the deranged anony has an obsession with TIm. Please seek help through the Lord! That should be your obsession!
Tim Morrisey has anal sex with random men in city parks.
This is why he was fired from radio in 2008.
I'm glad you found your troll, Dad, but as I've said before, this stuff is entertaining and in no way annoying. It's probably some disgruntled former broadcaster that I fired at some point in my career. (Yes, I retired from radio in 2009, but my PNS radio reports are heard on dozens of stations every week - but not in the Madison or Milwaukee markets.)
Anyone of room temperature IQ or higher who peruses this comment string will recognize anony as a bitter person, with untreated - or at least, unresolved - personality issues, particularly as regards gender identity.
The post immediately above lends credence to my suppositions, and identifies anony as a likely former co-worker. Yes, I was fired by Midwest in '08 (and in '83, as far a that's concerned). I've never made that a secret. But the terms of my 2009 settlement with Midwest have been sealed, so anony can speak with no authority to that.
As the Arabs say, "living well is the best revenge".
Oh, and it's 2X now.
