Wait. Doesn't Scopes say it's basically true, just unremarkable? And isn't remarkability (I love making up words. I know it's made up because spell check flagged it and we know computers aren't wrong.) somewhat subjective?
As someone who is a rail fan & knows a bit of the history of the standard gage, I knew it was true right away.
That aside, it does put it in a way that makes it fun as well as interesting. & proves the old saying, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
