The InfoSlop passed on by "news" outlets is a sight to behold.
Here's the InfoSlop lede:
Nearly 4.3 million Americans stopped receiving SNAP benefits from January 2025 through January 2026, largely because of new requirements put in place by Republicans when they passed the massive tax cut bill last year, experts say.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps, has seen a 10% decrease in the number of participants since President Donald Trump took office for a second term....
And blah blah blah quote some professor blah blah food expensive blah blah Trumpf!!! ......you know the drill.
Maybe you noticed the adjective "Americans" in the above? Good.
Because lots of NON-AMERICANS were taking food from ACTUAL AMERICANS.
At least 1.7 million non-citizens are receiving SNAP benefits (Source) USDA data shows that about 10.6 percent of all SNAP recipients are foreign-born, and 3.3 percent are non-citizens who are not naturalized...
Having your fat ass on American soil does not make you an "American."
Of course, there is the trickery-and-deceit angle which is in play here.
...If a household has a U.S.-born child, that child can qualify the household for SNAP. Benefits issued for the child feed the entire household. This is how many mixed-status households legally receive SNAP. In that regard, having a single child citizen (anchor baby) provides many welfare benefits to entire families of illegal or undocumented immigrants.
The statement that illegal immigrants do not receive SNAP is merely a talking point based on the letter of the law, but the reality is that benefits can still support households that include people who are not citizens....
Let's review, class:
1) Food Stamps are often claimed by NON-citizens who dropped an 'anchor baby.' The stamps then feed an entire family in "need."
2) That family is "in need" because someone is not working or has a lousy job. Why? Because they are ILLEGALS and/or they are 'shadow' workers.
3) Do not believe what you read, see, or hear on "news" unless you cannot find info which calls it into question--obviously a skill not possessed by "news" writers.
Class dismissed.
