Just another day at the office, demolishing the USA. The objective? That you live like they do in Kenya.
The Biden administration proposed new rules that would impose stricter limits on the wastewater produced by coal-fired power plants, although companies could opt out by choosing to shut down their coal operations, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Wednesday.
The proposed rule would require generators to completely eliminate all pollution from flue gas desulfurization wastewater and bottom ash transport water, two common types of pollution, and impose stricter limits on various chemical pollutants, including selenium and mercury and arsenic, the EPA announced Wednesday.
To avoid the restrictions, some companies could instead comply by burning natural gas or shutting down coal-fired plants entirely, the Washington Post reported....
In 2021, coal-fired plants delivered 42% of Wisconsin's electricity.
Which half of your electric appliance consumption will you give up? The stove? Refrigerator? Water heater? Air conditioner?
Choose carefully but don't over-think it. EPA will be back for the other half soon.

We had a substation provide partial electricity because the main station in Madison didn't provide enough electric. We had flickering lights and short periods of outage for hours. In February. Luckily we have a generator but must people don't. No electric, no gas stove...they are putting us back 100 years.
We will have to start using whale oil again. Haha
Yah, nope, newguy. They're also killing all the whales with their offshore windmills.
