'Low Unemployment': WHY Is Important

You can expect the Bai-Den Administration to brag about "low unemployment."  At 3.4% or so, it is low.

But why is unemployment so low?  Ahhhh.......that's important.

First off, to be officially "unemployed" you cannot have a job (doh) and you must be actively looking for one.  That second clause is critical.

...Health concerns, harmful reactions to the COVID vaccines, lockdowns, and stimulus payments pushed tens of millions of Americans who were still in their prime working years out of their jobs.

Three years later, many of those who quit working have yet to return to work, something that has alarmed experts....

Those "harmful reactions" to The Vaxx include a lot of sudden deaths, too.

...Although some economists see the low unemployment rate as a good sign, others were not celebrating the latest figures and fear that there is an approaching social and economic crisis.

“THIS is the employment number that should concern Americans: our abysmal labor participation rate. Some Americans have stopped looking OR decided that they don’t want to work OR cobbled together enough forms of welfare rather than work. A social and economic disaster . . .” Dr. Samuel Gregg, a distinguished fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research, posted on Twitter Feb. 9....

Who are these louts?

... people 20 to 24-year-old age bracket saw the greatest decline in employment and there has been a surge in young adults living in their parent’s homes.

Meanwhile, able-bodied men in that age group, about 7 million of them, have left the workforce altogether.

Last October, Fox Business host, Mike Rowe, called that recent development “chilling.”

“I do think with regard to that workforce participation rate, that to me is the most chilling metric of all. It’s more chilling than the latest report card because it’s an indication of what’s to come,” said Rowe.

“Seven million able-bodied men between the ages of 25 and 54 are not only not working. They are affirmatively not looking for work. They’ve punched out. They’re done. The vast majority of them spend over 2,000 hours a year on screens.”...

Well, not entirelyA noticeable percentage of them are criminals; many cannot read and cannot do basic math, either.  Most employers cannot hire walking zombies.

So next time some Lefty wacko (politician or not) brags about Joe Biden's "unemployment record", ask them "Why?"  Trust me--they have no idea.  And they won't like your answer, either.
