We await the Journal-Sentinel's thundering editorial demanding Car Control.
...This summer, a special police unit tasked with addressing the problem issued 7,000 citations in three months. In 2020, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office recorded 107 deaths in car crashes, the deadliest year in history.
It is a problem that in recent years has shifted to disproportionately affect Black Wisconsinites, a Feb. 2020 report by the Wisconsin Policy Forum found.
Black Wisconsinites were perennially less likely to die in car crashes than whites and Hispanics until about 2013. But by 2018, about 17 of every 100,000 black Wisconsinites died from crashes, compared with 10 whites and nine Hispanics across the state, the study said....
You may think that it's OK for licensed, insured drivers who own or have permission to drive a car to continue driving.
Nope. There should be a "buy-back" program to take ALL cars off the street. Before they kill again. There is no constitutional right to drive or even own a car!!! None!!!!
Note well: these deadly missiles are being brought into Milwaukee from Korea, Germany, Mexico, Red China, and other States, often by 'straw buyers.' This is a menace which is obviously out of control; Wisconsin should close its borders to stop the flow of deadly cars and trucks.
