Jeff Cooper was a US Marine officer who saw action in WWII and in Korea. He earned a degree in PolySci from Stanford and a Master's in History from UC-Riverside. He was the founder of Gunsite in Arizona, perfected 'modern pistol technique,' and wrote often and well about arms-related topics.

The media insist that crime is the major concern of the American public today. In this connection they generally push the point that a disarmed society would be a crime-free society. They will not accept the truth that if you take all the guns off the street you still will have a crime problem, whereas if you take the criminals off the street you cannot have a gun problem.
There can be little doubt that a large number of District Attorneys in the US deliberately ignore crime and a large number of Governors and legislatures deliberately "forget" about funding larger prisons and more prison guards.
The point? Chaos. From Chaos they intend to finalize the Totalitarian dream.
