The Covid Panic and Economic Collapse (?)

Saw this story and was reminded of another one.

...In 2021, millions of Americans either quit their jobs or were forced out of their positions because of various mandates that were implemented all over the country.  And as I discussed earlier this week, countless other workers either died or became incapacitated last year.  As a result, our society is descending into a state of utter chaos and basic services are breaking down all around us....

Is it TEOTWAWKI?  The End of the World as we Know it?

Was listening to a Detroit radio station the other day.  They interviewed a chamber of commerce executive who said that in many Detroit businesses, absence was running 20-30%.  Not 'vacancies'; absences.  Those absences were due to the CoviDOOM panic--where workers with the sniffles are taking off to 'get tested' and the tests say they're 'Covid positive.'  Similar problems are emerging on construction sites in SE Wisconsin, according to scattered reports.

Of course, the PCR tests used until just now were not accurate; a "positive Covid" could also be a positive Asian flu.  Nobody knows for sure.  But the positive results in at least a 5-day absence, not to mention the time taken to get through the line at the testing site.

He went on to say that that level of absence flat-out cripples the businesses; they cannot operate, no matter how many shifts they put on, or how many managers take on worker roles.  That becomes a supply-chain problem--or worse, if it's an ambulance service, or your local cop shop.

We live in interesting times.  That's a Chinese curseCo-incidence?
