Procter & Gamble is pretty much the gold standard of consumer disposable goods. Shaving, deodorant, sanitary napkins, soaps, snack foods, diapers, and lots of other goodies. They occupy a very large percentage of your grocery-store shelving.
The poor dears only sold $20.77 billion last year--which was less than their '21 sales. That's a giant bowl of Not Good for the Bai-Den bunch, as P&G actually raised prices and still couldn't increase the top line.
IOW (as we saw yesterday) people are buying less shaving, deodorant, sanitary napkins, soaps, diapers, and snack foods.
And when you're cutting back on the basics, things are bad.
