You May Tell Your Grandchildren About This Election

Gracious sakes...this is getting interesting.

Gallup also shows the results for two different turnout models. Under its "high turnout model" Republicans lead 53%-40%. Under its "low turnout model" Republicans lead 56%-38%.

These two numbers, if translated into popular votes in the 435 congressional districts, suggest huge gains for Republicans and a Republican House majority the likes of which we have not seen since the election cycles of 1946 or even 1928. ... "You may not believe this, young'un, but at one time, the Democrat Party had a majority in the House. Yep. It was back in '04, and they held it until '10. Yessirreee. Then they passed a "health" law, and damn-near destroyed the US dollar with spending, yup....

"The President at that time....fella named O....O........Obama, that's it....by'n'by he left the country, went to Kenya or someplace. 'Twas the Democrats who ran him out of the country.

"Lot has changed, yessirree. Why, at one time, them Democrats, they had Departments for every damn thing--Education, Health and Social Services, ...even had one for th' "Environment." Hell, Washington DC was an important city back then, yep. They had it all, the Press, the 'smart folks,' ...

"What was "the Press"? Well, see, back then, there were things called "newspapers." You'll have to ask your Dad, he'll explain that...

"No, of COURSE I'm telling you the truth. You can look it up...use your computer, sonny....

"Yessirree. That was quite a year.

"Let's go out and do a little target-practice. We'll need some vittles soon, and what with payin' off the national debt and all, we can't really buy 'em
