Ten Action Items for Paul Ryan Next Congress

AmSpec blog has 10 budget-cuts which are low-hanging fruit.

1. Repeal ObamaCare

Save taxpayers over $1 trillion dollars.

And Paul, don't pussyfoot around here and hem/haw about Veto. Screw it. GO FOR IT!

2. Completely End TARP Save taxpayers roughly $16 billion.

Face it: Citi's a cooked goose. May as well feed it to other banks.

3. Reduce Government Employment to 2008 Levels

Save taxpayers $35 billion over the next 10 years.

Since 2008, federal government employment has grown by 188,000 (excluding temporary Census workers.)

7 more at the link.

We expect that by February 1st, by the way.

No, I'm NOT kidding.

Seriously, the House has two years.

If they f*ck this up, it'll be anti-incumbent fever in 2012.

Do you really think Obamacare will be repealed even IF we win in 2012?

It better be, or we'll have more elections in 2011.

You read that right. 2011.

If the new bastards can't do the job, then we'll get even NEWER bastards.

Wow. How underwhelming. I'm shocked:

1. Where does he pull 1 trillion from? Not CBO. Not anywhere reputable. In what time frame? Not yearly. And not immediately. Most of Obamacare hasn’t even gone into effect. This is bullshit I'm afraid.

2. TARP made money to-date. Even if it didn't (which it did), $16 billion is a one time shot.

3. We just unloaded 82,000 gov. employees ex. census last month. Obama's non-action will have gov. worker ex. census below 2008 levels before Ryan gets the chance.

4. Fine, freeze gov. pay ($5 bil.)

5. Yeah sure, sell "property". Not sure to who will buy it but whatever($15 bil.)

6. End overseas abortions. Whatever. (.74 bil.)

7. Privatize Fannie/Freddie immediately. This is impossible. Folks are f__ing nuts to think this is possible. Sorry.

8. Amtrak subsidies. Yeah sure. (.2 bil.)

9. End energy subsides (20 bil.). This would be triple if we ended OIL subsidies but why would Republicans want to do that right?

10. End farm subsidies (1.3 bil.)

Hey great job. This guy has maybe identified about $43 bil. In real spending cuts or less than 1% of total government spending. To put this into perspective, we spend $2.2 trillion in health care and $663 bil. on defense spending in this country alone. You could cut defense spending by 5% and accomplish the same thing but surly the North Koreans would invade us and steal our women and children if we cancelled a couple dozen new ships named after Ex-GOP presidents.

Seriously though, we shouldn't be cutting anything right now anyway. I'm just saying.

Oh, there's more out there; this is called "low-hanging fruit."

Yours, maybe.

I have ammo.

Dad29, I learned a long time ago not to question a person who is an expert in their field. Apparently, you haven't learned that lesson with your rather feeble attempts to discredit J. Strupp.

Are you an expert in some ways? I'll leave you to ponder that question. I know the answer.

Sorry, Anony...

(How're things in Mequon?)

I don't discredit Strupp.

THe (D) Party discredits him. Strupp and I both know how Keynes is SUPPOSED to work. But we'll never live to see that day, b/c the Democrat Party can't control themselves, fiscally or otherwise.

I have a project for you.

Find a dictionary. Look up "discredit." Then look up "argue."

If you passed 4th grade, you'll be able to tell that the words are different!
