The Milwaukee "Catholic" Herald?

I'm reliably informed that the "Catholic" Herald of Milwaukee ran an advertisement for Senator Partial-Birth-Abortion Feingold.

I think that's called blood money, and there's a place for it: Haceldema.

My grandfather, I believe, used to edit that newspaper a long time ago.
What a shame the newspaper has gone down so far since he worked for them.

There was a message right above the ad saying something to the effect that if they accepted political ads from anyone, they were required by law to accept political ads from everyone.

Given that that's the only political ad I've ever seen in the Herald, it's not much of an excuse.

Recently I was contacted to subscribe again to the Catholic Herald. I had dropped it many years ago during Weakland's term.

My reaction was: "Not as long as Bp. Sklba is writing for it..." Now that he has retired I thought I might reconsider. This item does not help my decision. Or maybe it does...
