Regardless of the outcome on November 2nd, the fight for America’s future is only beginning. The Left has had 100 years to denigrate America into believing that statism is the ideal, the collective is superior to the individual, and that a league of nations is better than the sovereignty of one. Today, our nation is controlled by collectivists and while they may be beaten back on November 2nd, the fight will not end here. Nor will it end in 2012, if Americans are serious about saving America from the enemy within.
There were 15 years passed between the Tea Party and the ratification of the Constitution.

So it's entirely likely that many of us will not live to see the defeat of that monster. Thus, Churchill:

You get mad everytime you (and teaparty goers) get accused of inciting violent revolution against the U.S. government.
But you bring it upon yourself when you cite things like Churchhill's reference to, "blood, toil, tears and sweat...". The first time these words were spoken was on the cusp of violent revolution. Churchhill uttered these words in defiance of looming Nazi invasion. In 1940, there was no question what those words meant. And rightfully so.
But when you cite quotes like this and then tell folks that the Teaparty "movement" (or certain elements of the "movement") are not advocating violence against the government, this becomes very difficult to believe.
If I didn't hold the opinion that the Teaparty "movement" is a paper tiger, I would probably take this kind of stuff more seriously. That being said, I don't think you can post stuff like this and then tell the world that you don't somewhat support violent revolution against the government. Just saying......

16th Amendment? I will admit there are troubling aspects with that one.
Volokh has a respectable opinion.
And he can be wrong.
Clearly, the Fed has arrogated power to itself which may have been less easily taken were there objections from State interests--particularly those powers which pass the costs to the States, but not the revenue-taking abilities.
Thus the perversion of "populism." Real populism embraces the theory of subsidiarity. We now have 'top-down' populism, a contradiction in terms.
And by the way, pointing to flawed men is not a legitimate argument against a good system. Otherwise, e.g., the Teamsters' Union would have to be disbanded, right?
