"Recovery"? Still Looking for One
There's a big difference between the US Gov's unemployment numbers and those of ADP, as AOSHQ's Geoff shows in its post (from which I lifted the above graph.)
But that's not as significant as the graph, which is the "broad" unemployment measure (U-6) Over 940,000 people have been added to the 'involuntary part-time' category in the last couple of months.
THAT impacts demand, which impacts corporate spending.
