Republicans? Democrats?

For those of you who are knee-jerk defenders of the Pubbie schemers (or the Dimowit crooks/war-ninnies,) here's a bit of sagacity you should paste on your mirror:

"My kind of loyalty was loyalty to one's country, not to its institutions or its officeholders." —Mark Twain

Get it? It applies to States, not just countries.

We need more of Mark Twain ... and Will Rogers while we're at it. There is a reason I don't belong to any political party. I can then chastize both of them.

Here in Wisconsin, Republicans are owned by the ethanol lobby and the road builders; the Governor and the Democrats are owned by the teachers' union, the trial lawyers and Indian gaming interests.

Who's looking out for us? Do we need a taxpayer lobby group to get their attention?

It's called Citizens for Responsible Government.

Good bunch, high-powered. Milwaukee-based, with Statewide interests and contacts.
