Two responsible Board members have quit the Stadium District board in the last 30 days.
Could it be due to the $400 MILLION taxpayer-rape spending plan pushed by the Brewers?
...Another longtime board member of the public agency that owns American Family Field has resigned after opposing spending plans for ballpark improvements.
Karen Makoutz resigned Wednesday. She had served as a director of the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District since it was created in 1995 as part of the state funding package for the Milwaukee Brewers ballpark.
Makoutz, in her resignation letter, didn't say why she decided to leave the board. She hasn't responded to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's inquiries.
She resigned one day after a board Finance Committee meeting where Makoutz was the only "no" vote on amending the district's 2023 budget to finance stadium improvements.
She also was one of two members of the Finance Committee, of which she was vice chair, to oppose its June 9 approval of a plan to spend $4.6 million to upgrade the stadium's video production equipment, video cameras and other broadcast equipment....
Here's a reason: that 'upgrade' is totally unnecessary, kinda like going from a 48" to a 54" TeeVee. It's a 'nice-to-have, not a "need."
