It is also important to note that Sturm, Ruger was even up in 2008, when the market was down 38.5%.
And some of you reactionaries thought I was just a tinfoil-hatter.

I have a 1930ish Ruger .22 pistol from my dad with a handle made of that pre-plastic plastic-like stuff that I can't remember the name of right now. The plastic-like stuff, not my dad. I haven't been able to find it in any online resource. I'm beginning to think it might be a Frankenstein job.
Maybe it was. You can prolly get replacements for the original grip-covers from Ruger; or you can get Hogue overmolded, which are very good soft/sticky grips. I have Hogue on my Ruger .22 rifle.
And it's a socially responsible investment!
