...The employment:population ratio was decimated. My data tables go back to 1999 and I've never seen anything like this. I record 51.3% on an unadjusted basis which is a 10 handle drop from the recent high. For perspective the low in 2009 was just under 58%.
I remind you that all government is reliant on there being more people working than not, and that the only number that matters from a standpoint of long-term sustainability is the employment:population ratio. All other measures can be compensated for in some way -- that one cannot, and it's a dumpster fire....
Trump is doing his damndest to project optimism, which is a leadership thing. Well and good. But if you understand how economies actually work, optimism in the short-term is ......ahh....foofoo dust.
Trump's next task will be to hammer the Governors who are strangling this baby in its crib. Come to think of it, all of those Governors ARE abortion enablers/promoters...........which explains a lot, ain'a?
