Ron Paul *Hearts* Bradley Manning

Egads.

A number of commenters on this site seem to think that Ron Paul is the cat's pajamas.

He certainly has curious affinities.

Paul has called Manning, a crossdresser with acknowledged mental problems, a “hero” and “patriot” for stealing government secrets and providing them to WikiLeaks.

Does the Gummint classify stuff that covers its ass?  Undoubtedly.  Does Bradley Manning understand ALL the reasons for classification?

Do you really think so?

As a former Army Intelligence Officer, let me explain. The classification of a piece of information is based not only on "what" it is but also on the "source" of the information. So if only 3 people "know" the information, and if the bad guys find out we know the information, they can track down our source and eliminate him. Yes, PVT Manning, you were taught that! I hope a firing squad will help focus your attention on your personal failures. As for Ron Paul. I guestion your judgement and patriotism.

Paul does not deify the man. Not at all.

Paul is deifying the concept of complete open information and transparency to WE THE PEOPLE from OUR OWNED GOVERNMENT.

Manning represents the attempt at what is ours' by right and how far this corrupt circumstance of government will go to keep it from us.

All you people still don't get it.

You still don't get that this present government is not your friend...in any present way, present shape, or present circumstance.

In any area, in any department, in any service.

All you people still don't get it.

I don't agree with everything Ron Paul says, but who are our alternatives? More big government and war hungry conservatives like Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum? No, thanks. I've seen what they are selling, and I'm done buying.
