That Utterly Polite Left? Cruisin' for a Bruisin'

We mentioned a PissyPants Lefty harassment yesterday (video at the link.)

What we did NOT mention was that a young lady of our acquaintance was there along with the freshman Pubbie legislator who was the beneficiary of that fundraiser.

And that our lady-friend was verbally assaulted as a "whore", a "bitch", a "slut", and other such endearing appellations by some fat ugly VD-infested demonstrator. This, we remind you, was well within earshot of some very young children who were on the boat.

Pistol-whipping is assault and battery. But now and then, the risk is worth the satisfaction.

I adore your breathless blind items.

Dad29, do you share your disdain when Tea Party protestors (not ALL, but SOME) have engaged in similar uncouth and vile behavior? Or do you turn a blind eye to "your kind" because they are on the "right" side of matters?

"Pistol-whipping is assault and battery. But now and then, the risk is worth the satisfaction."

EXACTLY what our Good Lord would say, aina?

Dad29 said...

No, that's not what He'd say.

But then, there is Confession.

And obviously, I'm not telling the WHOLE story.

Display Name said...

See? It's like magic. You can do something you know is wrong, but you can always Confess.

Dad29 said...

Deleted anony: that's over the top, again.

Cut it out, or at least focus your attention on Foust himself.

Did your conservative Anony post some kind of personal insult, or an insult to a relative of mine?

Beer, Bicycles and the VRWC said...

Anony: I challenge you to find a documented case of a group of TEA Party activists acting in the same or similar manner.

Foust - TOOL extraordinaire!

Here you go Deekaman. I'm sure you will find a way to exonerate their boorish behavior.

Dad29--Cut it out, or at least focus your attention on Foust himself.

So says the "adult" in the room.

Beer, Bicycles and the VRWC said...

From what I saw, the behavior would be unacceptable. OTOH, for each of those, I can give you several from the other side. The Kenneth Gladney episode probably being the most egregious.

Dad29 said...

One. Yup.

If you honestly believe there is only one episode of SOME Tea Partiers behaving poorly, then you have been hoodwinked and bamboozled.

Interesting how posters here want to label unions "socialist thugs" who "foolishly" protest, yet rabidly come to the defense of the Tea Partiers as "true blooded Americans" who engage in a "noble cause".
Partisan crap at its finest!

Westboro Baptist - conservative or liberal thuggery?

Dad29 said...

Unnhhh.....

I don't blame union thugs for being active. After all, maximizing pay and bennies is in their interest.

But "active" has a meaning. Beating a vendor is out of line. Yelling highly personal insults at people is out of line. (The tape was cut off, but it happened at Lake Geneva.)

So when Dad29 uses personal epithets against those whose actions he doesn't like, when he degrades a woman for being a woman, and tries to degrade and insult a man by calling him a woman... that's not out of line?

Should a politician consider the probability of protesters as a reason to bring the kids, or not?

neomom said...

Westboro "Baptist" is an inbred cult. I'd put them in the same category as Jared Loughner. Conservatives hate them.

But then, you knew that already.

I have attended more than a couple of "Tea Party" rallies - including a couple in DC. Nobody, and I mean nobody, acted as poorly as the demonstrators that occupied the Capitol building and have been stalking Governor Walker and his family. Even when baited. Because we knew we were being baited.

Anonymous said...

Then you weren't looking very hard enough, neomom!

neomom said...

Somehow I doubt you were there to know anony.

Anonymous said...

Right there in DC, center stage. BOTH sides have their extremists. I'm willing to acknowledge their crass behavior, are you?

Dad29 said...

Anony, we're waiting for the video...

And "acknowledge" doesn't cut it.

Condemnation would suffice. See Deek's post as a model.

"Condemnation would suffice..."

Deekaman said the behavior was "unacceptable". So where is his condemnation? You're right, his post is a model in how to skirt responsibility.

Let me make it clear. I believe the majority of Tea Partiers are not rabid extremists, but Americans who deeply care about this country without being overtly and significantly prejudiced against the skin tone or ethnic background of Obama.

But SOME of the messages, whether you care to admit it or not, have racist overtones. That is a FACT!

It is offensive, just like how those liberals who engaged in character assassination of Bush, Walker, or other conservative politicians. But, unfortunately today, it seems the only way for people to make their point is to scream, shout, cuss, and make veiled threats.

Beer, Bicycles and the VRWC said...

Sorry. You fail to convince me of "racism". Especially when the videos refers to TEAParty activists as Teabaggers.

My response to that? Go f--- yourself and you claims. You must have brown eyes because your are full of s---. Did you bother to condemn the lynching of Bush? Or of the many other good men and women on the right? Standing up for Palin or Bachmann who are treated in the most vile and sexist manner? What about Black politicians who are called "traitors to their race", "Uncle Tom" and worse?

No, of course not because they Conservatives, so they "deserve the treatment". Hypocritical bastards of the Left.

I will revile you and your hypocrisy with my last breath.

You don't believe "the majority of Tea Partiers are not rabid extremists". You believe they are racist. Closet racists no doubt, but racists none-the-less. continue to believe it. Please. I want your hatred of us to consume you. My anger will fade.

"Sorry. You fail to convince me of "racism"."

Exactly, because you would have to admit that you are wrong. I guess when one protestor displays the Confederate flag or another references how the only "brown" in the crowd is their paper bag message it's just frustration against the gummint.

In any protest group or movement, there is an element of radicalism. So those who made vile statements against Bush, female conservative politicians, black conservatives, etc. fall in that category.

"No, of course not because they Conservatives, so they "deserve the treatment".

Looks like you are doing the same thing to me. Tsk, tsk, tsk...

"You don't believe "the majority of Tea Partiers are not rabid extremists".

Yep, you caught me, I confess. I was lying. /sarcasm

"My response to that? Go f--- yourself and you claims."

"I will revile you and your hypocrisy with my last breath."

And, as a Christian man, I forgive you.

Dad29 said...

So. Displaying a CSA flag is--no question about it--"racist"?

And ONLY "racist"? No States' Rights? No general-anti-FedGummint connotations? No honor in the Southern heritage EXCLUSIVE of racism and slavery?

Be serious.

I'm a Northern Aggressor State resident. Does that make me, ipso facto, NOT a racist? (Yah, that's what your shred of 'evidence' means in the reverse.)

Altogether, your sensitivity to solipsistically-perceived insults is anile.

neomom said...

factoid...

Less than 5% of the white folks owned black slaves. So to say that the entire confederacy was about black slavery would be a gross over-simplification.

I can tell you this. A great many folks down here bristle at a bunch of busybody northerners thinking they can make decisions about the course of individual lives better than the individuals themselves. Hence some nostalgia and a renewed call for State's rights. Which WAS a great deal about the Confederacy.

In other words, it isn't racism, its telling the folks in DC to go pound sand.

Dad29--"And ONLY "racist"? No States' Rights? No general-anti-FedGummint connotations? No honor in the Southern heritage EXCLUSIVE of racism and slavery?"

it's very easy to state all of those things you mentioned without someone having to wave the Rebel flag.

Despite your facts, the Confederate flag will ALWAYS represent a nation which declared open war on the United States and attempted to do her harm. No matter what the basis of the original grievances, flying that flag suggests a certain disloyalty towards our nation.

And, Dad29, you are not a racist, but you do show contempt for women, especially with your smart aleck comment comparing my ability as a CHRISTIAN MAN to forgive--just as GOD wants us to--to a "foolish old woman".

"Less than 5% of the white folks owned black slaves."

Yeah, neomom, I know the statistic. And what did the other 95% feel about the "peculiar institution"?

"A great many folks down here bristle at a bunch of busybody northerners thinking they can make decision..."

And I'm so sure that those in power--the monied men and women--in southern political and social institutions would have eventually found it in their heart or have been forced by their brethren to eliminate slavery AND to eradicate Jim Crow laws without "northern intrusion".

neomom said...

We will never know if the south would have ended slavery on its own. They felt the northern states were trying to destroy them economically - which is why they seceded. Lincoln declared war to stop them. And I wasn't around then.

But what has occurred in the past 50 years? Jim Crow may have ended, but the monied men and women from northern political and social institutions with the Great Society have reimplemented economic slavery. The Milwaukee area is far more segregated than North Carolina.

"...monied men and women from northern political and social institutions with the Great Society have reimplemented economic slavery."

Opinion, not fact.

"The Milwaukee area is far more segregated than North Carolina."

Milwaukee segregated...absolutely. Long, long ways to go when it comes to integration. MORE segregated? Not sure about that part, considering this...
