Losing P-Mac

Well, "losing" isn't quite accurate. He's still around, but several hundred miles distant. He'll be in the belly of the Beast, working in D.C. as a scribe for Sen. RoJo.

That's RoJo's gain.

At the same time, Milwaukee conservatism loses a bright, amiable, and enjoyable light. Pat enjoyed his work, skewering the Luminieres (and Numen-ieres) with abandon. WEAC will undoubtedly save money, as they can dump a couple of folks off the payross who did nothing but invent spin and horsehockey to defend against Pat's reasoned, fact-laden essays.

Choice will lose an outstanding standard-bearer; the 'BOHICA!! We'll Tax and Spend!!'; bunch will rest a bit easier.

Pat was one of the few in Wisconsin who was proximately responsible for the TEA Party revolution here. He presented ideas clearly, assembled the evidence which supported those ideas, and took down the Leftist Establishment which ruled Wisconsin for years (a feat which Tommy Thompson could not accomplish.)

Those who knew Pat knew him as a doting father, a dedicated husband, and a man who is religious in the best sense of the term.

We will miss him.

A total bummer.

Belly of the beast is an understatement.

JRN will undoubtedly save money, as they've dumped one off the payroll who did nothing but steno the spin and horsehockey.

You're saying you would've hired him? For what sort of job?

And I'd suggest you'll lose more than a bit of traffic for the absence of his oft fawning links.

Yah, well, I don't really do this for traffic.

Speaking of which, how's yours?

You do it to get into heaven, right?

Why the fuck do you care, Foust? If Dad29 doesn't get into heaven, your HIV-infected child won't either.

I don't blog.

Anony, so brave you are! When you talk like that, it's difficult for anyone to take you seriously. I don't. I don't see your conservative friends here sticking up for you either.

Face it. Paddy was asked to leave. He viewed the cushy government job as being better than working at the Journal. Anyone want to take bets on how long he lasts?

John,

You must be either unemployed or you must work for the government.....
Considering how much time you spend commenting on Dads blog I would say you have vast amounts of time on your hands.........

Have you ever considered a meaningful career change to the Paper manufacturing industry?

I found the perfect Eco friendly, Democrat approved job for you..... You will feel so much better about your self with a meaningful vocation........

Oh, the irony...a conservative writer who criticized big government and its benefits now gets to work for big government and perhaps, unless RoJo is paying P-Mac out of his own pocket, enjoy sucking from the teat of said government.

Oh, the revisionist history surrounding the contributions of P-Mac. Dad29 makes him sound like he was a credible, thought-provoking scribe. I just about spit out my latte when I read this tribute!

And, speaking about religion, sure glad that Dad29, as a God-fearing man who condemns sin, took down the post from the deranged anony who supports the death of children.

You didn't have to tell us that you like the girly-girl chichi stuff, anony.

It oozes from your opinions.

Uh-oh. Dad29's on a misogynistic roll.

Thanks for taking the bait, Dad29. It shows your true colors. Actually, I'm not a coffee drinker. Jack, straight up. Really girly-girl chichi stuff, right?

Paddy was asked to leave.

You know this exactly how, John?

Are you prepared for a slander action?

Paddy will be begging for his old job back after getting a taste of the major leagues. He is a great fit for Plastic Ron, but one wonders if the senator insisted on his converting to Lutheranism before accepting the offer.

Yep, it;'s true. According to my sources, the powers at JS told P-Mac that he had a choice--leave on his own accord or be let go.

Why? Cutting costs.

Your sources?

An "Anonymous" with anonymous sources.

My, my.

Truth is my defense.

Well, your "truth" does not comport with the truth as told by McIlheran, nor Marty Kaiser.

No surprise. You live on a planet with three suns, too.
