The Garrett Amendment was sunk by the (R) 'leadership' in Congress last Friday.
In essence, the Garrett Amendment was like the Ryan Plan--except that it shrank the timetable to only about 5 years.
Well, no Member of the Ruling-Class-in-Good-Standing would have any of that foolishness, so the Republicans dumped it.
Duffy, Ryan, Sensenbrenner, and the spend-a-holic Petri voted against the amendment.
Ribble, to his credit, voted FOR it.
