Kohl Votes for EPA Carbon Regulations

Clearly, Herbie Kohl wants to leave the Senate.

Yesterday he voted against a measure which would deprive EPA of "carbon regulation" authority.

EPA regulation of carbon emissions will burden the economy by raising the cost of electricity generated by coal-burning and natural gas-burning, not to mention petroleum combustion--IOW, driving a car or truck. It will be particularly onerous in the Upper Midwest, which not only relies on natural gas for heating, but has a large number of coal-fired electric utilities.

Thanks, Herb.
