All this talk of the "debt limit" is a waste of time. The number is arbitrary. This issue is 100% political. We're going over the current "debt ceiling" (whatever the hell that is) no matter what. In the short run, not doing so is actually counter productive to immediate growth and employment prospects(which we don't seem to care about either these days).
I don't know. When Pat Buchanan is on board with a slight raise, it may be a good idea to go over a little and then make major cuts.
