And Eight Years of Jim Doyle....

Coulter puts Massachusetts into perspective. And frames the Wisconsin election, too.

Four years of Jimmy Carter gave us two titanic Reagan landslides, peace and prosperity for eight blessed years – and even a third term for his feckless vice president, George H.W. Bush.

Two years of Bill Clinton gave us a historic Republican sweep of Congress, which killed the entire Clinton agenda (with the exception of partial-birth abortion and felony obstruction of justice) – and also gave us two terms for George W. Bush.

And now, merely one year of Obama and a Democratic Congress has given us the first Republican senator from Massachusetts in 31 years.

If you stop to think about it, Wisconsin has a similar recent history. After Tommy Thompson and his boyzzzzz spent the State silly (buying a new Brewer-house was only the tip of the iceberg,) the (R) wastrels were voted out.

How long did Wisconsin put up with the ultra-Left Tony Earl? One term. We came to our senses.

But after only 8 years of Democrat lying and even WORSE spend-a-holic antics, we'll likely elect a Republican governor.

Let's hope that Scott Walker knows how to use a meat-axe. He'll need one for the State budget.

I think he does and I hope he gets a chance to prove it. Which is why I wish that Mark Neumann had stayed out of the race. I liked Neumann as a Congressman and he may have more State-wide recognition initially, but I think Walker had the momentum and more recent 'recognition' behind him.

I know there's a primary but primaries are always divisive (not to mention expensive). Better to put everything behind one man from the start and build more momentum early.
