Same Crap, Different Names

Expect to hear New and Improved Nomenclature!!

The Green-a-Wonks ("Save the Earth, Kill the Humans") have been advised to tune up their predictions of impending doom with new, sparkly, enticing, language.

Instead of grim warnings about global warming, the firm advises, talk about “our deteriorating atmosphere.” Drop discussions of carbon dioxide and bring up “moving away from the dirty fuels of the past.” Don’t confuse people with cap and trade; use terms like “cap and cash back” or “pollution reduction refund.”

Hmmmmm...

How about just calling it all "bullshit"?

Lie the article says: "Lie More Effectively".

Dad, you and I are old enough to remember what the air was like in big cities 30-40 year ago. They can't convince me it's worse. I don't care how they phrase it.

I'm throwin' the B.S. flag. I think it's a personal foul with a 15 year penalty.

Hell, yah.

I drove to Detroit back in the late 1960's, going through Gary to get there.

I couldn't get near an electromagnet for the next three weeks, or the iron dust in my lungs would rip them all out...

Back in those days we had two sayings about South Central Wisconsin's Rock River.

1) It doesn't flow, it slides.
2) Still just a little too wet to plow.
