Ratcheting the Rhetoric

Bet you didn't know this.

Climate change kills about 315,000 people a year through hunger, sickness and weather disasters, and the annual death toll is expected to rise to half a million by 2030, a report said on Friday

Yep.

Climate change is the greatest emerging humanitarian challenge of our time, causing suffering to hundreds of millions of people worldwide. The first hit and worst affected are the world's poorest groups, and yet they have done least to cause the problem.

Uh-huh.

These little-known "facts" are brought to you by none other than Kofi Annan, who also suggests that several bazillion USdollars get sent somewhere to rectify the problem.

Yeah, it's crazy, but this administration will fall all over itself to throw money at a problem that doesn't exist.

Yeah, but if we have less people we have less contaminants, right? So this should really be a good thing. Don't we need to return to 1920's population levels? What better way. Survival of the fittest and all that.

This is why the conservative party needs an overhaul. Too many, "conservatives," hold these foolish beliefs. Being callous and clinging to dated nationalistic ideas is not a virtue. Every country for itself leads to conflict, why follow it? And denying the existence and negative impact of climate change caused by humans. Yeah, stick to the ad hominem arguements against it.

Assuming (alleged) climate change actually exists and anything we do will actually make a difference
