Arlen Specter's Decline Into "Certifiably Psychotic"

He was always a suspect. Until Arlen opened his flap, nobody in this country really gave a drat for "Scottish Laws" vis-a-vis our Constitution.

Now he's drawn back the curtain.

...Senator Arlen Specter is providing covering fire for these partisan Democrats by announcing his intention to "review" the judicial opinions of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito to see if they have "complied with" promises he believes they gave in their Senate testimony as to how they would rule on the bench.

The word "astonishing" is inadequate for the level of hubris Specter demonstrates.

Doesn't this fall under accountability and isn't that a good thing?

Those who have nothing to hide shouldn't have anything to fear, right? That's what our government keeps telling us.

Great stuff. We can hold every Senator to the same standard. Of course, then we wouldn't have a Senate...not that that's a bad thing.

Under the Constitution, Grumps, the Supremes are not "subject to review" by Senators, regardless of the mental capacity of such Senators.

I really wish I could find an account of what Senators did back when they were chosen by the state legislatures and not directly elected...

Back when Senators actually represented their states according to the Great Compromise and were not just flakes who looked good enough to get elected by the mob.

The LeftDroolerLawBoy has become a bit sarcastic:

Were he simply to have said that "Arlen Specter has forgotten more ConLaw..." he'd be accurate.

Arlen's at that tender age where forgetting the first things is ordinary.

But at least Arlen remembers Scottish law!
