Turn Off 5% of Your Electricity, Wisconsin

EPA has decreed!  Lights off and face on the ground, peasant!

In Wisconsin, the EPA's new rules will shut down:

Blount Street (Madison) #s 8 and 9

and Oak Creek South #5 and 6

Not to mention the entire Valley plant in Milwaukee.

For a total of 830Mw offline in 2014 and 2015, or 5% of the coal-generated power in the State.

Well, maybe except with regard to the Valley plant. Let the East Side and Milwaukee City Hall freeze in the dark as a result of their enthusiastic support of Teh SCOAMF. </sarcasm?>

Sad to say, Steve: WEEnergies is going to convert Valley to natgas.

Of course, they could still shut off the steam-heat valves....
