Notes From Brookfield

Stuff not yet reported in the MSM.

1) Three Brookfield East high school seniors were arrested before the East/Central football game for assault and battery on a Brookfield Central freshman. They will be charged as adults.

The local paper reports that FOUR arrests were made at halftime, students were East freshmen.

2) St John Vianney parish was defrauded of $121K by a "very sophisticated" ring of thieves operating through the automated clearinghouse (banking electronics) system. Most of the money has been recovered with the assistance of the Secret Service, and the balance (less $1K deductible) will be reimbursed by insurance. Neither the parish' nor the bank's employees are implicated in the theft.
