This damning essay by Cliff Kincaid popped up today, and it complements a discussion we are having with a friend about Communism.
The socialists are taking over the Democratic Party but they are already in firm control of the American branch of the Roman Catholic Church, which gave us “Obamacare,” the bankrupt health care scheme, and is now promoting open borders and LGBTQ ideology....
...I attended a local church in the Washington D.C. area on Sunday and heard prayerful “intentions” for the victims of “climate change-inducing” wildfires and Haitians being “forced” to return to Haiti. Both claims are part of the “progressive” playbook and designed to undermine the America First policies of the Trump Administration.
In the church bookstore I found a book, “A Home for All: A Catholic Call for LGBTQ Non-Discrimination.” The book’s back cover features an endorsement from retired Bishop Thomas Gumbleton of Detroit, who revealed that a priest molested him in the 1940s when he was a 15-year-old seminary student....
... A September 25-27 “pilgrimage” will seek “to bring together LGBTQ Catholics, allies and those who minister to them both in New York City and abroad” by praying at “important LGBTQ sites,” such as the Stonewall National Monument, the scene of anti-police riots at a Mafia-run gay bar....
The silly(?) stupid(?) subversive(?) claims about "climate" and "refugees" undermine science and common sense, respectively. Kincaid reminds us that the Communist government of Haiti came to be in 1986. That was Clinton-era, and we'll bet a dollar that it was the Deep State/CIA that fomented the revolution making that happen. (Knowing Hillary, that meant that the new Government of Haiti lined the Clinton Foundation's Hillary's pockets with millions of dollars.)
The Archdiocese in question is run by +Joseph Lori, who has a reputation as a 'moderate,' in contrast to, say, Cdl. "Cupcake" Cupich of Chicago or the horrible, terrible, disaster called +McElroy in D.C.
Kincaid also reminds us that the Church officially tolerates the most pro-homosex Jesuit in the world.

Following the latest outburst of Communism (the DSA) in Wisconsin and nationally, we mentioned that in the Good Old Days--only a half-dozen decades ago--the Catholic Church was unalterably opposed to Communism, and often said so. The most articulate opponent was Bp. Fulton Sheen, but popular reading materials, priests, and Catholic childrens' books were filled with anti-Commie materials. There was a very good reason for that: Communism is atheistic. Period. Full stop. All the other evils of Communism, including its Statist penchant for mass murder, flow from that foundation.
Maybe it's just co-incidence, but a few events happening at more-or-less the same time drew down the curtain on the Church's anti-Communism. + Jos. Bernardin (of Windswept House fame) became the CEO of the United States Catholic Conference. Vatican II happened. And LBJ signed legislation which--arguably--prevented churches from preaching about "politics." (The legislation is totes un-Constitutional and flat-out ignored by "progressive" denominations, but....)
My pal and I remembered the work of Fr. Cletus Healy, SJ, who published thousands of tracts on the evil that is Communism (The Truth About Communism) and was shunned by nearly every other Jesuit for his trouble; in effect, he was a hermit within his own community.
Clearly, the Church was off the rails, and needs a good kick in the ass from the Faithful. Write your Bishop and let him know that it's about damn time for his priests to blow the smoke of Satan out of the Church.
Your children will thank you for it.

Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of 's-Hertogenbosch wrote on August 13 an open letter to Leo XIV. Main phrases.
- Does the synodal process actually help bring souls closer to Christ and to eternal salvation? […] What has all this actually yielded? Not: how many meetings were organized? Not: how many reports were written? Not: how many people participated? But: has faith become stronger? Has Christ been proclaimed more clearly?
- When one asks such questions, it is impossible to consider the Synod a success.
- What once began as a 2021–2024 synod threatens to become a permanent form of governance.
- The classical synod was a means. In contemporary synodal discourse, synodality threatens to become an end in itself.
- The Church is not a conversation but a received reality. For the Church does not begin with our dialogue. It begins with Christ.
- Christ did not set up a discussion group. He called apostles. He gave them authority. He sent them out to proclaim, baptize, and teach.
- Truth is not produced by consensus. That constitutes the first major area of tension surrounding the synodal project.
- What happens when the desires of modern man clash with the Gospel? Then it is not the Gospel that must change; then man must change. In Christianity, that is called conversion.
- The Church does not exist primarily to affirm people in what they already are. It exists to bring them to Christ.
- The first words of Jesus’ public preaching are not: “Tell Me first how you feel about the current church structures.” But: “Repent and believe in the Good News.”
- Churches are emptying. Parishes are being merged. Monasteries are disappearing. Religious orders are aging. Knowledge of the Catholic faith is declining. Confession has virtually disappeared for many Catholics.
- A number of elements of modern synodal culture actually show similarities to developments that have been observable in Protestant churches for decades. [….] Why would the Catholic Church adopt precisely the administrative and pastoral patterns of denominations that often underwent the same secularization even earlier and more severely?
- Why was the new, all-encompassing category 'synodality' needed? Precisely because the concept is so broad - it is impossible to devise a definition - everyone can understand something different by it. For one, it means listening. For another, decentralization. For a third, democratization. For a fourth, pastoral renewal. For a fifth, reform of the ministry. For a sixth, a different sexual morality. A concept that can mean everything ultimately means nothing.
- The world is not waiting for yet another organization that listens to it. There are enough of those. The world is waiting for someone who tells it what it was created for.

The latest Popesplaining of the ever fatter Cardinal Burke is here. Frankly, I am getting rather tired of this man. As a fifth column of the subversion, nobody seems to be more eager than this guy, and he seems to have gone on overdrive since July. I remember the time when he seemed to have the nerve to present some Dubia. Of course, he never followed up. He clearly never had the nerve.
Let us see what Burke does to persuade you to shut up and go on with the program.
a) The Popesplaining.
It really takes a special sort of shamelessness to still pretend that Prevost might just have some little half-slip every now and then. This guy Prevost talks subversion every time he opens his damn mouth, and he still has Popesplainers!! Kitten Cardinal pretends not to notice. He pretends not to know that this has method, that it is programme, that it is feature, not bug. He wants you to also pretend whilst Prevost keeps sabotaging the Church everyday. Proper, proper fifth column behaviour.
b) The appeal to respect for “the office”.
That’s the other trope. Do not expose the evil clown. Do not say what everybody sees. Shut your eyes very hard and be a useful, obedient sheep of Faggochurch. Very convenient, isn’t it? Put up your best wetkittenface© and pretend nothing is happening. It only works if you don’t care. It only works if all you care about is your fat, quiet life with a Pontifical Mass every now and then. The fact is: if you respect the office, you MUST criticise the man. If you don’t criticise the man, you don’t really care for the office.
c) The attempt to make you believe that Prevost was chosen by Christ
This is not said explicitly, but I think this is what it’s meant, it’s what he wants his listeners to think. I wish the Cardinal has said this: the office of the Pope is willed by Christ, the actual occupant is chosen by the Cardinals. If the Cardinals are a bunch of faithless Fagelas, then the Pope will likely be a faithless Fagela, too. Christ never gave us any guarantee that the Pope would not be a scoundrel, a son of a whore, or an utter bastard. Burke does not say anything of it, and pretends not to know it, because he is preaching to a choir of old sheepish ladies of both sexes. However, he hides behind the finger of a very softly spoken “not worthiness” of some vague, unnamed popes in a vague, distant past; which, actually, begs the question of how to react to the unworthiness, but again he does not notice it because he does not want to.
I don’t know what has happened to this man. Methinks, he is rationalising his own cowardice.
He should look at Bishop Schneider and hang his head in shame.
