Ruling Class Strikes Again.....

 In an earlier post, we quoted Codevilla's essay on the "Ruling Class" (Cloud People) and how their cat's paw Administrative State twits are making life less bearable every.  damn.  day. for American citizens (but NOT for illegal aliens, nor for Certified Ruling Class Members.)  We speculated that the crescendo of laws, regulations, and impositions-of-will over the last 80-100 years is what drove citizens to revolt over Data Centers, whether those centers deserve it or not.  But there is no question that the turmoil over Universal Spy Cameras is part-and-parcel of that revolt.

Anyhow, another example of Arrogant Legalistic Administrative Twittery just popped up.

 A Missouri grandmother has refused to stop serving free breakfasts to her community after she was threatened with legal action by the local health department...

...The grandmother's cooking, which includes breakfast burritos, sausage, egg and cheese biscuits, gravy and coffee, quickly became a hit and more people started coming by the house. ...

Well, now.  THAT deserves lawyer (or police) intervention!!!

...But in early July, Kite was stunned when she received a letter from the Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services Department stating that she needed to obtain a food permit or face legal action.  ...

The letter was signed "Snidely Whiplash."

We recently were at a luncheon which had a fair amount of leftover food in the warming trays.  I suggested to the restauranteur that they should wrap it all up and I would take it to a local homeless shelter.

"No Can Do," she replied.  Wisconsin forbids that sort of generosity and sharing.  The food went into the dumpster instead.  

(In Tennessee, restaurant leftovers are shipped to homeless shelters.  Perfectly legal, and we have not heard of any mass deaths resulting from that generosity.)

"It's for your own good."  "It's for your safety."  "It's Economic Development."  "Our experts tell us to......"

Uh-huh.

Here's a gentle reminder:  there are two redresses available to US citizens:  ballots and bullets.
