Since Dobbs reversed Roe, there have been a multitude of attacks on the Supreme Court and--notably--on its members and their families, an escalation approved by the White House and called for by leading Democrat pols such as Schumer.
But you will recall that Democrats and their house-scribbler "journalists" were attacking SCOTUS even before Dobbs, calling for 'stuffing' the Court with six more members, attacking the Court's credibility and its legitimacy, and of course, attacking its members' integrity.
That's because it's not all about Dobbs, although that case helped whip up the mobs. Nope. Dobbs is a side-show.
It's about Moore v. Harper.
...The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear the case of Moore v. Harper, a North Carolina case that concerns gerrymandering, voting districts, and a little-known theory called the independent state legislature doctrine, this coming October.
Should the Court rule in North Carolina's favor, the ruling would reduce voter oversight on state legislatures and likely impact the outcome of various statewide political races — as well as the 2024 presidential election. ...
That summary is from a Lefty-Wacko publication. We quoted them because you'll hear those lines again and again from the Propaganda Press. Let us help you a bit: the "little-known theory called the independent state legislature doctrine" actually means the black-letter line in the Constitution stating
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators. And the "reduce voter oversight on state legislatures" means that the elected legislators will do what their constituents want them to do, not what the Democrats must have done for their goal of permanent and total power over the entire country. If SCOTUS rules for North Carolina, it's game over for the Democrats, who cannot win elected control in the majority of States. Thus, it is imperative for the Democrat Party that North Carolina loses.
That's not what you saw in the linked essay, was it? See what I mean when I say "Lefty-Wacko publication"?
Look for more of the same from the local branch of USAToday. It's what they're paid to do, after all.
And watch Moore.
