200+ Jackwads Need Firing

In the hothouse-Temple called the "Capitol", a bunch of self-important twits who never had a real job and who could care less about those who do, have arrogated to themselves a new duty:  instructing Congress on how to vote.

In a rare move, more than 200 congressional staffers have sent a letter to Democratic leadership in the House and Senate, demanding they close the deal on a climate and clean energy package and warning that failure could doom younger generations.

"We've crafted the legislation necessary to avert climate catastrophe. It's time for you to pass it," the staffers wrote in a letter, sent to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday evening. The letter, which staffers signed anonymously with initials, was shared first with CNN....
The legislation spends huge dollar sums on stuff that doesn't work:  windmills and solar.  Feel free to ask Texans about that.  Their Governor Perry-era windmills are inadequate, so Texans will be cooked this summer with rolling blackouts.

You could also poll the citizens of Germany, which closed its coal plants and nukes only to re-start the coal-burners when Environmentally Wonderful Natural Gas got cut off and windmills, solar, and Magic Unicorn Dust failed to pick up the load.

As the CNN story makes clear, the signing staffers are really children ("young").  Typical of youth, they display a serious lack of judgment.

First off, the "climate rescue" will cost about $550 BILLION in subsidies, tax incentives, yadayada.  That's money the US does not have.

Secondly, and far more important: the "climate" bull-plop is woven into Bai-Den's "Build Back Crappier" spend-a-thon.

...The problem is that all of that climate spending is tied up in a package called the Build Back Better Act, which also advances other progressive priorities, such as prescription drug pricing reform, expanded child tax credits, and making health insurance more affordable, that have proven to be contentious among Democratic senators. Passing climate policy alone would require dismantling the legislation and reintroducing elements of it as a new, climate-focused bill....
Manchin--who is running for President--has given a nod to drug-price reform and nothing else in that turd proposal.

Anyhow.

200+ children have signed a document telling their superiors that they need to be fired.

Democrats should follow through and fire them.  Give them a chance at a real job!
