The Rest of the Story of El Rey Shoot

Well, this makes a difference.

The individual shot and killed by El Rey's security team was initially portrayed as someone with 'mental problems' who was 'profiled' (picked on) by the security guys.  That's the old "He couldn't help it because.....and besides, raaaaaaaaciss!!!" line, modified for the circumstances.

Then there's The Rest of the Story.

...What is known is that Lorenzo was wanted at the time for failing to appear on felony drug dealing charges. Twice, his $5,000 bond was forfeited. He also had a pending federal drug case....

Oh?

Apparently the drug-dealer/bail-jumper's family was hiding him from LEO''s, too.

That’s why we protected him, and he was also very cautious," said Rodriguez. "Didn’t want to cause even more disturbance."

"So you were helping him evade law enforcement?" asked Miston.

Bingo, Bill!!

"Absolutely not," said Rodriguez. "I was protecting him. He was afraid. He was paranoid. He was dealing with a lot of issues."

Yah, like Federal prison-time, or Waupun.  Or both.
