In 2016, the Wisconsin Election Commission Democrat-Electing Machinery issued a "guidance" allowing election clerks to fill in the blanks on mail-in or drop-box ballots. Then the same Democrat-Electing Machinery decided to make that "guidance" a permanent rule.
The Legislature--which wrote the law making that illegal during the Walker regime--ruled that the "guidance" was illegal.
So what does the Democrat lawyer-ette on the Democrat-Electing Machinery do?
Tells the Legislature to STFU and sit down. She and her comrades in the Kremlin will continue to do whatever they damn well please. After all, timing is important; if they can delay actually following the law for a couple more months, another 20,000++ mail-in "ballots" might push Evers & Kaul over the finish line.
...Ann Jacobs, a Democratic commissioner, on Wednesday interpreted the committee's action in suspending the emergency rule as technically putting the original 2016 advice back in place.
Commission spokesman Riley Vetterkind said under state statute a two-thirds vote of the commission is required to retract its 2016 guidance.
"So our 2016 guidance regarding absentee certificate envelopes remains in place at this time," he said in a statement....
The cow jumped over the moon, the Easter Bunny is real, and Joe Biden won the election.
