There are a couple of elements which largely define Trump's enemies: they like war and the money that war generates, and/or they do NOT think in terms of "America First." They are the Old Regime.
Miles Taylor, a former Homeland Security Department official who has endorsed Joe Biden for president, predicts a stream of former senior Trump administration will publicly speak out against President Trump in the coming days...
...Without naming anyone, Taylor told CNN anchor Ana Cabrera on Saturday that he has been encouraging old colleagues to come forward. He shared particularly effusive praise of John Kelly, a former homeland security secretary and White House chief of staff...
All of these people--I guarantee you--are part of the Old Regime, which was very comfortable with problems that would never be solved, wars that would never end, and an endless stream of cocktail-and-dinner parties called "conferences" both in the US and in ultra-high-end resorts abroad.
The NeverTrump "War at All Costs!!" Kristol Krowd is a faction of the War-War lynch mob, for example.
Another large group sits in or around the State Department striped-pants bunch which sees the US as the enemy, or at least a very good punching-bag for 3rd-world shit-hole dictators to whom the US should give a bunch of tax dollars. Lots of dollars. Those dollars then pay for chi-chi cocktail parties for State Department employees, home or away. See??
Finally, there are the camp-followers of both: the 2nd- and 3rd- level bureaucrats, Congressional staffers, lobbyists, and cheap moralizers-for-rent at various "institutes". (We could include the United States Conference of Bishops among the latter.)
The very last thing they all want in the Oval Office is a Get-R-Done guy who thinks of US citizens as THE constituency, not just a bunch of saps who Sit Down Shut Up and Pay the Bills.
Screw 'em all.
