About That Revolution Thing....Texas Warns

Obama's EPA is looking for Congressional action to over-ride Texas regulations.

The State of Texas is not amused. (PDF here)

Pretty forthright language--which is to say, not the usual byzantine dance in the moonlight crap.

Texas Constitution Article 1 Sec. 1. "FREEDOM AND SOVEREIGNTY OF STATE. Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States."

Sure looks like they are taking the 1st shot alright.

So states rights matter when we say they matter (see: repeal of DOMA ruling), otherwise the federal government is a god you must obey and worship.

The judge who vitiated DOMA opened a can of worms--he will be over-ruled.

Because, of course, if his ruling stands, then Roe is endangered.

I'm good with the DOMA ruling. Especially if it opens that can of worms.

None of those issues are spelled out in the Constitution and should be left to the States.
