Five "Republican" Senators have decided that regulating a loaf is better than letting you have one. After all, you're just citizens and taxpayers. What do you expect?
Sens. Lindsey Graham, John Thune, Saxby Chambliss, Bob Corker and Johnny Isakson have agreed with 5 Democrats that kinda/sorta/maybe/possibly drilling for oil is a good thing--as opposed to actually drilling for oil.
Sad sacks, at best, but quite Senatorial.
That's not a compliment any more.

Yes another "Gang of" which always turns into Gang of Idiots. We have Democrats on the run on energy policy so lets cave, yeah that's really smart. While the House Republicans make a good stand the Senate Republicans decide to start fiddling.
I heard Saxby Chambliss on Rush's show today and his excuses were pathetic. I especially cringed when he said the 50 mile limit on drilling was to keep our beaches clean. Oil spills are not the reality in realtion to oil rigs.
You and I may have been the only ones in the Cheddarsphere who noticed this.
