Which One IS the "Religion of Peace?"

The Catholic Caveman presents a short comparo:

~Catholicism prays for the conversion of the Jews.
~Islam prays for the death of the Jews.

~Catholicism teaches that if you knowingly reject Jesus as God The Son, you will pay a terrible price in the world to come.
~Islam teaches that if you knowingly reject Mohammed as God's Prophet, you will pay a terrible price in this world and the world to come.

~Catholicism teaches that if a wife should cheat on her husband, she is to sacramentally confess her sin and reconcile with her husband.
~Islam teaches that if a wife should cheat on her husband, she is to be put to death.

~Catholicism teaches that God is love.
~Islam never equates God to love.

~Catholicism teaches to love the non-believer and pray for their conversion.
~Islam teaches to hate the non-believer.

~Catholicism teaches that Catholics have the free will to leave the Catholic Church any time we want.
~Islam teaches that if any muslim leaves islam, they are to be put to death.

Wow, I'm sold... islam really The Religion of Peace, huh?

The red-highlight phrases also bring to mind the principal heresy of Mohamet: that there is no Trinity.

William Muir's 1878 The Life of Mahomet: He demonstrates, step by step, that Jesus' responses to the three temptations of Satan were the exact opposite of Mahomet's behavior. Whereas Jesus refused to use his divine powers for his personal advantage or for power, Mahomet often used his (false) claim of direct divine authorship of the Koran for purely personal ends (such as his various murders and marriages), and, of course, to make his religious teaching into an earthly, conquering, political force. In other words, Mahomet yielded to the temptations that Jesus rejected. Therefore, Muir concludes (and he calls this a suggestion rather than a dogma), if Mahomet was indeed inspired by a supernatural being, it was not God but someone else.

Well, ANY heresy is inspired by someone other than God. Offenses against Truth are just that.

This is a very interesting citation. Thanks!!

You do not understand the Islam to which most Muslims subscribe. But I forgive you and will turn the other cheek.

Well, Jihadi, thanks for your forgiveness.

Perhaps you'd like to briefly elucidate 'the Islam to which most Muslims subscribe...'

See, we Catholics have an understanding based on Mahomet's wars against Catholics--and those of his successors.

We, too, are forgiving.
