SB 331 would eliminate the "no-vote" automatic increase of the State's gasoline tax.
In other words, beginning in the years following 4/1/2006, when the DOT wants more money, your elected representatives would actually have to VOTE on taking more from your pocket.
To date, the following Members of the Legislature have signed on:
Senators Reynolds, Zien, Grothman, Lazich Leibham; cosponsored by Representatives Wood, F. Lasee, Gundrum, Jeskewitz, Kerkman, Kestell, Lothian, McCormick, Pridemore and Vukmir.
Other members, including Sen. Kanavas (R)/Brookfield, have promised to sign on to such legislation, but have failed to do so.
