Back a while ago, the MSO hired a fresh-faced President and some fellow named Abele became Chairman of the Board. Abele had widely intimated that he had a bunch of (inherited) bucks and that he could be persuaded to drop significant pesos into the MSO's coffers.
Recently,
The MSO has settled a contract with its musicians, reportedly very much favoring the MSO.
The MSO has let its COO go--not yet reported in the local paper.
The MSO's Marketing guy left (for whatever reason).
Now with a $9 million cumulative deficit, the MSO wants to raise $12 million--but still simply cannot sell tickets to its shows, including "Carmina Burana."
Hmmmmmm.
