True Fact!

The "Jobs of the Future" Shimmy-Shake

Don't you love it when some dude yaps about "the future" as though he knows what "the future" will be?

Republican lawmakers on the study committee looking at the future of the University of Wisconsin want to know what Wisconsin families are getting for the $1.3 billion the state currently spends on the university, and what they should expect if the state spends more....

...[UW System President]  Rothman once again told the committee the UW needs more money, needs to bring in more students and needs to stabilize the finances at many of its campuses....

And that's because:

... many of the jobs of the future will require college degrees.

Tahhh Dahhh!!

...“The Wisconsin Policy Forum did something recently that said over half of the jobs that they believe will be created in Wisconsin with an annual salary of $50,000 or more will require a college degree,” Rothman told the committee. “Ninety percent of the jobs that are $75,000 or more will require college.”...*

Rothman and his peers should take a walk outside the faculty lounge some day.  And the Wisconsin Policy Forum folks should take a very hard look at what a "Bus Ad." or "Arts" degree really contributes to one's ability to sell, manage people, lay out a factory floor, provide customer service, or effectively procure goods for a factory's needs.

...“My son’s friends from high school who just graduated are making $50,000 as assistant managers at KwikTrip. They don’t need a college degree,” [Rep.] Nedweski added.

Want a Day One $50K?  Be a plumber's apprentice, a finish carpenter, a machinist, an electrician, or a good mechanic.

Or work at KwikTrip.

*Experts also predicted Hillary in '16 and told us that Ivermectin was useless against Covid.  The founder of IBM told his associates that the world would never need more than one computer.  We can go on about 'committees' and 'experts.'  But this is enough.

Doh. "Big Auto" Gets Real?

Amusing news item here.

The sunny electric vehicle forecasts of past CAR Management Briefing Seminars at a northern Michigan resort here gave way to a cloudier picture this year.

The reality of a slower EV transition in North America has settled in as automakers pull back some of their plans in the wake of lower-than-expected sales, auto executives and analysts said.

Until the industry addresses consumer concerns on charging times, battery range and price, EV sales are going to grow more gradually than many expected, they said.

"I've been pleased to hear all the conversations up here where 'consumer' is said so much, whereas the last five years, it's been about government and policy and all this other stuff," AutoForecast Solutions CEO Joe McCabe said. "We're finally saying, 'Guess what? The consumer drives the market.' We all know that, but we're finally saying it out loud."...

The auto industry is similar to the Government Industry.  A lot of people in a faculty-lounge bubble smoking pipes and talking among themselves about 'what people want' and 'how to make Nirvana happen' without ever asking people what they want, or whether it's within their power to 'make Nirvana happen.'

A friend complained yesterday about the price of new cars.  Well.......if you take out the happy-clappy doodads (satellite radio, Bluetooth, "lane-keeping" and "matched-speed" cruise control, et.al.) you'd see some price reductions.

But the industry doesn't offer transportation any more.  It offers "an experience."

That's what you are paying for, no matter what you actually want.

Yes, We Said "Totalitarian"

Ace re-posts sections of an essay describing the Obama-initiated Totalitarian State in which we now live.http://ace.mu.nu/archives/410872.php

...The term ["Whole of Society"] was popularized roughly a decade ago by the Obama administration, which liked that its bland, technocratic appearance could be used as cover to erect a mechanism for the government to control public life that can, at best, be called "Soviet-style." Here's the simplest definition: "Individuals, civil society and companies shape interactions in society, and their actions can harm or foster integrity in their communities. A whole-of-society approach asserts that as these actors interact with public officials and play a critical role in setting the public agenda and influencing public decisions, they also have a responsibility to promote public integrity."

In other words, the government enacts policies and then "enlists" corporations, NGOs and even individual citizens to enforce them--creating a 360-degree police force made up of the companies you do business with, the civic organizations that you think make up your communal safety net, even your neighbors. ...

...whole of society dates to the Obama administration's attempt to pivot in the "war on terror" to what it called CVE--countering violent extremism....

Of course, "violent extremists" only come in one flavor and it ain't Muslims.

... A decade after 9/11, as Americans wearied of the war on terror, it became passé and politically suspicious to talk about jihadism or Islamic terrorism. Instead, the Obama national security establishment insisted that extremist violence was not the result of particular ideologies and therefore more prevalent in certain cultures than in others, but rather its own free-floating ideological contagion....

Did we say "Totalitarian"?

Yes.  Yes, we did.

... Indeed, whole of society is a totalizing form of politics. As the name implies, it discards the traditional separation of powers and demands political participation from corporations, civic groups, and other nonstate actors. Mass surveillance is the backbone of the approach, but it also consolidates a new class of functionaries who all directly or indirectly work for the party's interests. This is exactly how the party carried out its mass censorship during COVID and the 2020 election: by embedding government officials and party-aligned "experts" from the for-hire world of nonprofit activism, inside the social media platforms. The result, as I chronicled in an investigative essay last year, was the largest campaign of domestic mass surveillance and censorship in American history--often censoring true and time-sensitive information....

He could have capitalized "Party" and made it even more clear, but you get the drift.

Can Trump eradicate this Totalizing from the country?

Frankly, it's not likely.  There are too many parts and players.  It's do-able, of course, but the number of people who will have to be .....umnnnhh... neutralized.......is very large, indeed.  I doubt if Trump or Vance has the requisite cojones, or even enough knowledge of where the bodies are buried.

Plenty more at the link, including clips of Kamala pushing the concept.

This was a nice country once, eh?

Tampon Tim Copies East Germany. Kamala Bleeds You Instead

Back in the day, East Germany utilized hundreds of thousands of spies and 'snitches' reporting on citizens subjects who engaged in thought- or speech-crimes.  The spies and snitches totaled about 1/6th of its population.

Apparently Tampon Tim liked that idea.

...renewed attention is being put on [Walz'] draconian practices during the COVID-19 pandemic, including a hotline he established for private citizens to report neighbors for violating lockdowns.

As detailed by Alpha News in 2022, the so-called “snitch line” ran from March to November 2020, during which an estimated 10,000 reports (many of which are believed to have been spam emails) were taken on excessive numbers of people at retailers that had been allowed to remain open, “non-essential” shops continuing to operate, outdoor dog-walking, playing basketball in parks, small home parties, social distancing not being observed, and even in-person church services. Walz justified the measure as necessary to free up 911 to take more conventional emergencies....

(Maryland did the same thing.)

Kammy Harris uses the lawfare method to bleed her enemies dry.  See, e.g., her comments at 50:00 on this video.  Or see what she did to David Deleiden after he exposed Kammy's BFFs at the "parts department" of Planned Parenthood.  Tampon Tim uses the snitch-method.  The combination is rather scary, no?

Lovely.

The Kamala-Elkhorn Travesty

More of the same, piled higher and deeper.

A federal judge blocks the Elkhorn Area School District from restricting an eighth-grade student's use of the girls' bathroom this fall. The preliminary ruling will allow the student to use that bathroom while the case continues and awaits its final ruling....

Notice that the "press" does not name the judge, nor the location of that judge.  Madison?  Milwaukee?  Northern Illinois?

... The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Jane [?] Doe, an 8th-grade student at Elkhorn Area Middle School, by her his parents. The family sued the school to make accommodations for her him and for damages for "emotional distress, lost educational opportunities, pain and suffering, economic losses, and other injuries that have been caused by the Defendant's conduct." It states the refusal to allow the student to use the girls' bathroom is a violation of her civil rights under Title IX....

(The above edited for accuracy.)

...A similar case is playing out in Mukwonago, where a federal judge ruled the district can't enforce a ban on transgender students using the bathroom of their choice.

[Elkhorn Superintendent] Tadlock said he's had parents call with concerns. He said many will instruct their kids to use the unisex single-room restrooms. Others, he said, are choosing to take their kids out of the Elkhorn district due to the judge's ruling.

"We've had several families indicate that they're just pulling their kids all together. They're going to home school them, send them to a private school, or enroll in another district," Tadlock said....

The Elkhorn district should tell the anonymous "judge" to stick it where the sun doesn't shine and toss the him/her/it student out of school.

By the way:  if those "several" families are pulling their kids, the Elkhorn district will lose a bunch of State aid.  Add that to the cost of the lawyers and the re-arrangement of the bathrooms, all for a facially farcical Kamala Harris/Tampon Tim policy.

Taylor Swift Was Muzzied

 Not "muzzled."

Muzzied.

As in:  a Moslem ISIS follower is the suspect.

Only a few days ago, the son of two Moslems knifed a bunch of young girls--killing two--in England.  They were attending a Taylor Swift party.  Then there was the Arianna Grande thing waaaaaayyyyy back in '17.

Notice any common themes here?

Let's keep the border open so the invasion can continue!!!  Yay!!

Tampon Tim's Scurrilous Lying

Tampon Tim Walz--like many other Lefties--lies like Hell at the drop of a hat.

Grim digs up another WalzLie:

[Reporter] Green discusses a 2004 visit from former President George W. Bush to Gov. Walz’s hometown, in which a protesting Walz (who was still serving in the military) told the reporter about him supposedly demanding to speak to the then commander in chief.

“Walz thought for a moment and asked the Bush staffers if they really wanted to arrest a command sergeant major who'd just returned from fighting the war on terrorism,” Green writes....

There's a problem there, as Grim notes:

...This was before the Warning Order, so not only had he not "just returned from fighting the war on terrorism," he hadn't even been asked to fight the war on terrorism....

Remember:  this guy started out as a teacher.

"Improving the Economy" 22 Times!!

Our Betters tell us that illegal aliens will "improve the economy."

An illegal migrant from Venezuela allegedly committed at least 22 criminal offenses in the span of just six months and still may not be deported, a report from the House Judiciary Committee revealed Wednesday.

Daniel Hernandez-Martinez was released into the U.S. by the Biden-Harris administration in early 2023 before allegedly committing a slew of crimes...

That's in New York City, so 22 crimes is a fly on the ass of an elephant.  But at least he tried!

Want Fresh Air in Your Car? Move to Milwaukee!!!

Mostly in the Lower East Side.

Metro Hand Car Wash & Detailing used to clean a couple of broken-into cars every day. Now, the business is vacuuming glass and sealing windows for up to 20 cars since Milwaukee's window-smashing spree began.

"Over 200 in the last 12 days," said Mazen Muna, the car wash's owner. "I have one girl that's had a total of seven break-ins in the last 12 months that we've taken care of."...

Over 800 reports since January 1 this year, triple the pace of last year.

But hey!!  Carjackings are down up!

Umnnnhhhh.......murders ARE down.

Eau Claire: Lefties Galore

There's a reason that Harris visited Eau Claire with Tampon Tim (Timpon?) in tow:  it's a heavily-Lefty town almost in Minnesota.  Tampon Tim could draw some of his homies, and Harris--well--she had Eau Claire's favorite band, Bon Iver, playing to attract the stoners.

Finding Lefties in Eau Claire is like finding sand on a beach.  But Harris uses the 'belt-and-suspenders' method of drawing a crowd, thus Bon Iver and Wet Pussy Stallion in Atlanta.  Even after Bon Iver, she could only draw 12,000.....

Think "the press" will ever get her to answer questions?  Think her website might ever have a policy page?

Tampon Tim's EEEEEEEvil Corporations

Yah, he does his Socialist rants about 'the evil corporations.'

Then he takes their money.

...in 2017, Walz received campaign donations from Walmart, Land O’Lakes, Oracle’s Cerner Corporation, and other corporate-affiliated PACs. And throughout his time in Congress, corporate cash flowed into Walz’s campaign coffers from the likes of General Mills, Honeywell International, Pfizer, UnitedHealth Group, Deloitte, Comcast, Xcel Energy, and Exxon Mobil, records show....

Many of those Eeeeeeeeeeeevil Corporations were merely buying protection as they are headquartered in Minnesota or have extensive business dealings up there.  You know the line:  "Nice business you have here.  It would be a shame if....."

Nothing from tampon manufacturers, though.

Paean To Old Cars (and Trucks)

This guy is having fun with Detroit's stupid "Mo' Big Screen" rush.

What is Tucker Carlson's Daily Driver? A 1987 Chevy Silverado. "There are no electronics in this. There's no air conditioning, there's no radio, and there's no way for the government to turn off my engine if I'm disobedient."...

We prefer the oldies, too.  Of course, in SE Wisconsin, the oldies have rust, so there's that.

Who Is "Josh Dunlap"?

Ran across this post:

FIRED Wisconsin Election Commission Executive Director Claire Woodall-Vogg xeroxed 64,000 ballots at Milwaukee City Hall, room 501 all in favor of JOE BIDEN...

As you can see, "Josh Dunlap" doesn't have the basics correct.  Woodall-Vogg was fired, but her position was with the City of Milwaukee, not the Wisconsin Election Commission.

So the "64,000 ballots" claim should be taken with a grain-elevator load of salt.

But it's out there......

RoJo: Secret Service Lying, Again

Per Sen. Ron Johnson:

Looks like the Secret Service is having a 'whistleblower problem.'  That is to say that the truth about the Trump assassination attempt is emerging.

The locals are being very helpful.

The Secret Service management is still trying to bury information and get their stories straight.

Christian Zionism? Nope; That's Heresy

Another interesting item dug up by Wauck.  We'll go the very, very short version.  The link has a longer one, and the link inside that link has a much longer one--but the message is the same.

For orthodox Christians, in no way can the establishment of a modern State of Israel be confused with the fulfillment of the promises given to Abraham because Jesus is the true fulfillment of those promises....

Yes, there are problems with the (now)-religious Zionism; the essay points to one in particular:

...In the middle of the 20th century, the Vatican certainly never believed or supported that later generations of Jews would advocate violating international law with illegal settlements. They did not foresee appeals to herem—as found under Moses and Joshua—becoming mainstream in modern Israel or that the United States’ fundamentalist communities would encourage Israel behaving like an Old Testament “faith-state.” It would have never supported such a state if it believed serious political powers and religious movements would advocate for restoring a third temple and animal sacrifice. “But religious forces were also always at work in Zionism, and to the surprise of agnostic fathers [of the original Zionism], a devotion to religion has often arisen in the new generation.”3 Now supported by misled evangelicals of a fundamentalist bent, today’s Zionism is no longer your grandfather’s Zionism....

In the middle of the 20th C. the Vatican accepted the establishment of a secular state of Israel, not a 'religious' state of Israel.

Never confuse the two; the current Israel is religious, not secular.

And it is flat-out heresy to think that 'the land promises' to Abraham and Moses are the fulfillment of the Law.

Christ the King is, and He is the only One.

Pictures, 1,000 Words

First version, followed by the sanitized version.

Gwen "Winnie Mandela" Walz

We know Walz is a nutcase.

Now check out his wife, commenting on the George Floyd riots:

His wife Gwen enjoyed the destruction so much that she kept her windows open to smell the burning tires:

“I would say those first days, you know when there were riots, I could smell the burning tires, and that was — that was a very real thing. And I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was — what was happening.”  --AOSHQ quoting Legal Insurrection

No necklaces this time.

Walz' Extreme Abortion-After-Birth Record

The "extreme" arrived in Minnesota under Walz.

...In Walz’s state and on his watch, five infants were "born alive" in 2021 during failed abortions, and none was provided life-saving care though two got “comfort care,” the Minnesota Department of Health reported on July 1, 2022. [Citation omitted]

Three other infants were "born alive" during abortions in 2019, Walz’s first year as governor, and they too perished without life-saving care, according to a July 1, 2020 report from the same state agency....

Letting people know that Walz tacitly tolerated neglect-homicides is politically embarrassing, even for extremists like Walz.

So Walz fixed that problem!

...Minnesota was the rare state to require such born-alive abortions to be publicly reported, creating a powerful statistic for pro-life and anti-abortion forces to draw upon.

But in 2023, Walz worked with his new Democrat-controlled Legislature to eliminate both the reporting requirement and the state’s legal obligation for doctors, nurses and medical professionals to administer life-saving care to infants born alive during an abortion procedure....

See?  No more neglect-homicides here!  Move along!

Tampon Tim's "War" Fable

In a way, you have to feel sorry for the Democrat Party regulars who are now supposed to support this twit.

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz claimed to have carried guns "in war" during his career in the Army National Guard, according to a video released by the Kamala Harris campaign Tuesday. There’s one glaring problem with his claim.

Walz, the governor of Minnesota, served 24 years in the Army National Guard but never saw combat, according to his own résumé. Walz responded mostly to natural disasters in Minnesota and Nebraska, he told Minnesota Public Radio. He served overseas on a few occasions, but far away from any war zone: in Italy to support the European security force during the war in Afghanistan and Norway for joint training exercises with NATO forces....

And then there's this problem with his military resume:

...Walz, who served in the Nebraska National Guard from 1981 to 1986 and the Minnesota National Guard from 1996 to 2005, has repeatedly claimed he reached the rank of Command Sergeant Major. But in 2022, retired Command Sergeant Majors Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr claimed Walz did not fulfill the qualifications to maintain that rank before he quit the National Guard in 2005. They said he retired after learning he would be deployed to Iraq....

Thus he did not retire as an E-9, but rather as an E-8.

4th Circuit vs. 2nd Amendment

Looks like SCOTUS will have to make a decision again.

A few days ago, a Virginia Fed judge ruled that AR's are NOT 'assault weapons.'

But yesterday, the Fourth Circuit ruled that they are, and that Maryland can ban them without violating the Second Amendment.

A federal appeals court has left intact Maryland’s ban on so-called assault weapons, including AR-15s.

The full U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled on Aug. 6 that the ban, which also covers AK-47s and Barrett .50 caliber sniper rifles, does not violate Marylanders’ rights....

The ruling claims to follow the Bruen decision of SCOTUS.

...“The assault weapons at issue fall outside the ambit of protection offered by the Second Amendment because, in essence, they are military-style weapons designed for sustained combat operations that are ill-suited and disproportionate to the need for self-defense,” U.S. Circuit Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III wrote for the majority....

Muskets were used in sustained combat ops and for self-defense.  So were Colt's .45 pistols, along with any modern semi-auto rifle.  The Fourth Circuit's decision rests on the girly-man "it looks really mean" implied in their "military-style" comment.

Back to SCOTUS.

"Burn It Down" Is (D) Riot Suppression Practice

Wisconsin residents will remember the Kenosha riots.

Minnesota residents will remember the George Floyd riots, for the same reason.

...As Governor of Minnesota, Walz rejected federal assistance and was slow to deploy the state’s National Guard to Minneapolis in response to the 2020 George Floyd riots. Despite his inaction, Walz blamed local law enforcement and Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey, calling their response an “abject failure.”

Text messages and emails obtained by the Star Tribune after the riots, however, show that state officials—not city officials—failed to communicate important details provided by local law enforcement. This delayed the deployment of the National Guard for almost 24 hours.

Even after the National Guard had been deployed, Walz and his staff only offered local officials vague responses to requests for aid. In one instance, on May 27, 2020, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo called Walz, asking that guardsmen be deployed to a Target that was being looted. According to Mayor Frey, Walz was noncommital to Arradondo’s request, saying only that he “would consider it.”...
Yep.  With minor alterations, that's exactly what Tony Evers (D) did in Kenosha.  Which is to say, too little, too late:

...By late Sunday night, Kenosha protesters had set city vehicles on fire. Monday afternoon, Evers announced that at the request of local officials, he had authorized Wisconsin National Guard troops to support local law enforcement in Kenosha County. After Monday’s protests led to widespread arson in Kenosha, Evers announced Tuesday that he had authorized up to 250 National Guard troops....

On Tuesday, a massive police force used tear gas to drive protesters out of the public park outside the county courthouse. As protesters spread into the city, a group of them clashed with self-described militia who were guarding boarded up buildings with long guns. That’s when 17-year-old Illinois resident Kyle Rittenhouse allegedly shot three protesters, killing two and wounding another....

SUNDAY night all Hell was breaking loose.  But Tony was beddy-bye, couldn't answer the phone.  Monday?  Nope.  Tuesday?  "He had authorized."

Great, Tony.  Two dead, one seriously injured, because  you needed your beauty sleep.  We don't know what Walz's excuse was, but he--like you--probably lied like Hell about it.

The Democrat Solution to riots?

Let it burn.

WRN's Silly Wiggle-Waggle on Olympic Sex

Kinda sad, but reflective of "journalism" today:  Wisconsin Right Now swallowed--hook, line, and sinker--the bafflegarb BS of a very confused TeeeeVeeee doctor.  Have they learned nothing from the Fraudci experience?

Then they wrote a lengthy essay which is even more confused and confusing, not to mention poorly edited.

Here's what they propose:

The Olympics should establish a clear and transparent protocol for sex testing.

Sounds good, right?  Oh, but you haven't seen the BS yet.  Here's where that starts:

...The actual truth is that a lot is still not known about Khelif’s biology....

And (quoting a children's hospital site):

... “Differences of sex development (DSD) describes a group of conditions that occur early in pregnancy in which sex development is not typical. Some people may use different words to describe this, such as intersex, or use the name of the actual condition.”...

Yah, but nope.

Have "Y" chromosome?  You're a boy.  Period.  You can have 13 "Xs" along with that "Y", but the "Y" will give you a far different bone-mass picture along with a far different body-mass alignment.

Nuance in the case of sex-determination is crap, and "journalists" should know better.

Wiggle Waggle, bah, humbug.

Back in 1991.....

In 1991, the publicist for B. Hussein Obama wrote the following:

Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation. He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago's South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.  --quoted at Surber's place

Normal people review their publicity releases for accuracy.

Obama did.

Then came someone telling him that he could be made (note:  not "elected") President, if only......

The great tradition of Democrats Lying All The Time About Everything was continued!!

ANOTHER Coincidence in J13!!!

The list of coincidences grows.

...Local commanders were forced to use cell phones to call state troopers, who then relayed messages to the Secret Service, resulting in critical delays.

This ineffective chain of communication happened three times that fateful afternoon, including a crucial moment at 5:42 PM when a local counter-sniper radioed about a young white male lurking near the AGR building, only to lose sight of him shortly after.

The internet service was reportedly down at 5:47—25 minutes before Trump was shot. ...

That's not all.  About 30 seconds before the perp opened fire, the "command post" personnel failed to relay a phone message about the perp being on the roof.

The term "stretching credulity" was operative one day after the shooting.  What do you call it now?

Kamala Goes Hard Left With Walz

You can learn a lot about Minnesota Gov. Walz at the PowerLine site.  None of it is good.

Walz is a hard-Left ideologue like Kamala.  And, like Kamala, he is not burdened by a high IQ.  Shapiro, the other contestant, was waaaaaaaayyyyy too pro-Israel and, by the way, was also pro-school choice, which would have alienated a very significant voting bloc:  the teachers.

Here's a comment on Walz from an NG officer:

MN Army Guard Lt Col:

"Walz was known to put himself in for additional devices (oak leaves, good conduct loops, service stars) w/o being remotely close to completing the criteria. Joes, Peers and Superiors could not stand him, very pretentious person that should've never been promoted beyond E6."

The Vance/Walz debate should be a ball.  Stock up on your popcorn.

Another Straw in the Harrisconomy Ill Wind

Not as spectacular as yesterday's markets dumps, but this fits neatly with the PMI Index decline.

...Truck transportation jobs fell in July for the fourth consecutive month and now are 30,000 jobs less than where they stood a year ago.

The four-month sequence of job declines in the truck transportation sector reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, following revisions, is a decline of 1,600 jobs in April, 6,800 jobs in May, 900 jobs in June and 2,400 jobs in July.

At 1,544,700 seasonally adjusted jobs, truck transportation employment stands exactly 30,000 jobs less than where it was in July 2023....

If manufacturing (PMI) is off, then 'moving the goods' will also be off.

So far, this is not a catastrophic dive; you can still see "HIRING" signs on the backs of most semi-trailers on the highway.

But it's there.  It's real.  And it is hung around the neck of Kammy and Joe.

Tulsi Now on "Terrorism Watchlist"

Speak against the regime?  You'll be sorry!

...several Federal Air Marshal whistleblowers have come forward with information showing that former U.S. Representative and Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard is currently enrolled in the Quiet Skies program. Quiet Skies is a TSA surveillance program with its own compartmentalized suspected terrorist watchlist. It is the same program being weaponized against J6 defendants and their families. Quiet Skies is allegedly used to protect traveling Americans from suspected domestic terrorists....Revolver quoting Uncover DC

Tulsi joins several hundred grannies who were in DC on J6, along with the children of J6 gulag detainees.

Frankly, we're a bit miffed that they haven't come after us.  Quiet Skies is definitely the Cool Kids' Club.

A Little Warm? Shoot Somebody!!

Bet  you never thought that sunshine makes you into a crazed shooter, didja, huh?

The Society for Environmental Journalists (SEJ) partnered up with the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education for a webinar Tuesday to provide data and information to journalists on the connection between gun violence and “extreme heat” in 100 of the largest cities in the U.S....

...The SEJ and Covering Climate Now (CCN) are part of a network of thousands of journalists and hundreds of media outlets reaching, according to CCN, an audience of 2 billion. Both groups receive funding from anti-fossil fuel activist organizations, and they encourage reporters to insert climate change into every topic, such as connecting gun violence to climate change, and avoid interviewing sources who question any aspect of the “climate crisis” narrative....

Willing to bet that there's some Federal funding in there as well.

Baldwin and Biden "Cured" the Economy

Never forget that Tammy, who lives in Manhattan with her gal-pal-mate, voted with Biden all the time.

So when you look at the smoking pile of crap that was your 401(k).....

Thanks, Tammy!!!

Exactly What This Was Designed For!

 Gee.  A schoolteacher pedo.

Whatever shall we do?

Google = Monopolist!!

This is a big f'n deal, as Sponge-Brain-Shits-Pants would say, if he could read for comprehension.

...On Monday, a federal judge ruled against tech giant Google in a landmark case that alleged the company acted illegally to keep a monopoly in search, saying it paid companies to make Google the default search engine on smartphones and other devices....Ace quoting CNET

Because they're paying other companies to make Google the default, they are strangling those "invisible hand" competitors, which is why those "invisible hand" competitors do not exist.

The fun will drag out for several years, of course, but the big hill is now in the rear-view mirror.

The Legitimacy and Use of Power

When you come right down to it, this is unarguably true:

...Man’s final end beyond this world of sin and shadows is no dream—although our fallen natures and the depredations of the devil make it no certainty. God bestows legitimacy upon authority for no other reason than that last end; to be legitimate, authority has no right to direct power, other than to bring Man toward his proper Last End. Power, in turn, has no right to be exercised save to that goal....

You may have noticed that the Government(s) in this country and many other countries do not recognize the truth above.

Nor will they in the near- or distant future.

In fact, in this country, Government(s) are often actively opposing that truth.

That leads, inexorably, to Totalitarianism, and you're seeing the beginnings of it as we type.

Did You Know?

Nah.  You didn't know.  The "press" didn't tell  you.

...according to the latest report by OIDAC, between 2022 and 2023, there have been almost 800 incidents in Europe alone of anti-Catholic attacks, Church burnings, assaults on public processions, and much more. And not just by Muslims, but “antifa” groups, pro-abortionists, LGBT activists, and more....

Two years. ~800 "incidents" of anti-Catholicism.  Just in Europe.

There are lots of anti-Catholic instances in the US, too, many of them reported in the press.  But then, the US has less declared anti-Catholics (read:  Muslims) than Europe.

So far.

Nobody ever ran a census on Satanists.  That would be interesting, no?

Biden/Harrisnomics: Slow Descent to Hell

Tonelson is a steady voice (not a propagandist nor a grifter) on the national economics scene, so when he propounds, it's good to pay attention.

...When it comes to job creation during the Biden years – a point of particular pride – the answer could well lie in an almost completely ignored trend in the official employment data: Job creation has slowed notably during the last year. Moreover, it’s slowed not only nationally, but in most of the battleground states widely viewed as crucial to both Ms. Harris’ and rival Donald Trump’s chances for victory.

To get comparable three years’ worth of annual totals incorporating the latest monthly official jobs year in office, I’ve looked at the June-to-June figures. All the data here come from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ monthly employment reports, and from the Bureau’s state-by-state “Economy at a Glance” series....

Think what you like about Government stats.  What follows ain't good for Harris.

...During that first year, the Biden economy churned out jobs at a sizzling 548,830 per month, as non-farm payrolls (NFP – the U.S. Government’s employment universe) rose by 4.48 percent in total. And the headline unemployment rate sank from 5.9 percent to 3.6 percent.  [Yes, but that was the rebound from the Covid quarantines.]

From June, 2022 to June, 2023, however, the monthly growth rate cooled to 306,580, and the report -- I’ve looked at the June-to-June results since June, 2021 – five months into President Biden’s first percentage gain to 2.41 percent. But although the unemployment rate at a very low 3.6 percent, it failed to improve further.

Over the past year, monthly job creation rose by just 217,580 per month, and unemployment actually increased from 3.6 percent to 4.1 percent – still quite low, but worsening....

Now he will drive the pollsters nuts.  This is a very brief and NOT nuanced summary of his next few grafs:

Arizona is up, Nevada is down.  Georgia and North Carolina?  Meh.  Wisconsin is down.  Michigan and Pennsylvania are up.

He looks at both "job creation" and the official unemployment rate, by the way.  Worth the read if you are sorta geeky.

Then there's this:

Data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows the Biden-Harris government is continuing to replace native-born American workers with immigrant labor entering the country both legally and illegally. Over the last year, native-born Americans have seen total job losses hit 1.2 million. Meanwhile, foreign-born employment has risen by 1.3 million jobs...

That won't play well off-Broadway, either.

The Befuddled & Beclouded Kamala

You have to see it to believe it.

...Kamala Harris thinks 'the cloud' literally 'exists above us': "No longer are you keeping those private files in some file cabinet. It's on your laptop, and it's then therefore up here in this cloud, that exists above us. It's no longer in a physical place." ...

All those servers are not "physical" and they're kept in the exosphere.

Right?

Right?

Surprise!! Secret Service Deleted Radio Calls

Seems that the Secret Service has a habit of deleting really important stuff before John Q Citizen gets to hear or see it.  (Remember that they also deleted/destroyed all the comms from J6.)

...During testimony this week Rowe told US Senator Ron Johnson that the Secret Service radio recordings were deleted after the rally.

Rowe insisted the Secret Service never keeps their recordings from Trump rallies. They only keep recordings from presidential events....

That excuse is pure evasive non-responsive crapola.

This rally--President or not--included a nearly-successful assassination attempt.  That ALONE is reason to preserve the recordings.

Or--in the case of Rowe & Co., a helluva good reason to delete them.

Pp. Franny1 Has Teh Sadzzzz!

This is about as wimpy as it can be.

"The Holy See was saddened by certain scenes during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games and can only join the voices that have been raised in recent days to deplore the offence caused to many Christians and believers of other religions," the statement said....

Teh Sadzzzz.  That's funny.

John III Sobieski would already be halfway to Paris with the cavalry.

Department of "Education" Or "Indoctrination"?

Even using Wiki as a source, it's clear why the Department of "Education" deserves to be eliminated--or at least cut back to its original purpose.  That's the substance of the argument referenced here between genuine Conservatives (at Claremont) and the Running Dog RINOs such as Sohrab Ahmari.  Believe it or not, Ahmari & Co. want to "reform" DoE.  That's as likely as teaching water to run uphill.

So the history:

...it became necessary to gather information on the many schools already in existence, as well as on those being built....

The office of education was created in 1867 for "gathering information."

...Following the Civil War, shifts in political thought led to increased federal involvement in education. The pre-war tradition of local funding of and control over education clashed with a push from reformers for increased state and federal educational leadership. Additionally, the creation of social science associations generated interest in data-driven approaches to governance at all levels.[1] ...

As soon as you see the term "social science," BOLO for the BS.

The Department was subsumed into Interior in 1869, but under FDR, a most curious thing happened:

....when [in 1939 it was] transferred to the newly created Federal Security Agency (F.S.A.), in the "New Deal" programs of 32nd President, Franklin D. Roosevelt...

Federal Security Agency?  FDR?

Now you know there's trouble.  "Federal Security" remains in the DNA of that Department.  All the children are indoctrinated to prioritize "federal", and "security"?.....well,.......shall we judge the DoE by its results in the several States?

Truman initiated, and Eisenhower completed, the merger of several agencies into the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.  But Jimmuh Carter was the one who separated it, creating a Cabinet-level DoE.

Social Science, FDR, "Federal Security," Truman, and Carter.

The motto might as well be "Keep 'em Stupid and Loyal to Government."

Because that's what we got.

Boeing Fails Again

Maybe they should go back to slide rules and graph paper.

Elon Musk's SpaceX is reportedly working on a plan with NASA to fly astronauts stranded by Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft...

...Starliner had faced a few problems, such as helium leaks and failing thrusters, but officials downplayed these difficulties, saying they were minor issues.

“Those are pretty small, really, issues to deal with,” Mark Nappi, vice president and manager of Boeing’s Commercial Crew Program, said. “We’ll figure them out for the next mission. I don’t see these as significant at all.”...

Oh, really?

...Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, while NASA and Boeing examined the technical problems further, finding that “the more pressing concern was the failure of multiple reaction control system thrusters that are essential to steering Starliner during its departure from the space station and setting up a critical engine burn to enter Earth’s atmosphere,” Ars Technica reported....

One wonders if a degree in engineering means anything these days.  Musk--who may be the savior here--owns a car company that produces cars which are buggy as a beehive.  It ain't all that much better for some other car companies.

And let's not get started on software for your basic PC.

Eric Sammons Figured It Out!

The editor-in-chief of Crisis finally arrived at the obvious conclusion:  war is not good for humans.

Bear in mind that Sammons is a staunch and noisy pro-lifer.  But in a national election following Dobbs, the really big question is war.  Abortion is a state decision; war is not.

...During my lifetime the United States has been involved in countless overseas conflicts, from outright wars to small-scale military operations. Vietnam War, two Iraq Wars, the occupation of Afghanistan, conflicts in Libya, Bosnia, Somalia, Syria, Yemen: the list goes on and on. In not a single one could America’s involvement be justified under Catholic Just War Theory.

We’ve also been heavily involved in provoking many more conflicts and engaging in proxy wars, most notably the current Russia-Ukraine war. Our neocon foreign policy has been a disaster for decades and has led to untold suffering and death, along with increased ill will and outright hatred for America around the world (thus creating the foundation for future conflicts)....

He has a very good insight on this:

...We often talk about the invisibility of the unborn, and how the fact that we can’t see the victim is a major reason abortion is accepted by so many.

The same is true for these foreign conflicts. Even though millions have been killed in conflicts involving the United States, and millions more have been horribly injured or had their lives otherwise devastated, we don’t see them. The dead Ukrainian or dead Yemeni or dead Palestinian are mostly invisible to the average American....

Now the US has moved several ships into the Middle East.  They're not there for the tourist attractions.

Think when you vote.

Like War? You'll LOVE Gov. Shapiro

Man, o maneschewitz.....  Oppose the Kammy/Josh ticket and you'll be the smorgasbord:  anti-female, anti-black, and pro-Palestinian.

It is reliably reported that Israel is now in the 'hard-prep' stage for war with Iran and Hezbollah, assigning emergency radio frequencies, appointing local-area civil-defense managers, etc.

Think the Veep selection's going over there to lift an AR?

Think again.  But YOU have children who need experience in war, right?

Oh, Yeah: THIS Kamala Harris

Did not recall this one.

...When pro-life journalist David Daleiden published videos of Planned Parenthood executives nonchalantly discussing the selling of body parts, Harris had his home raided, seized evidence, and then tried to throw him in prison. She later teamed up with the abortion mill to write legislation that would squash the free speech rights of other pro-lifers....Harsany quoted at AOSHQ

Lots more at the link above, such as:

...Axios, a popular Washington insider online news organization, not only scrubbed part of its story from 2021 reporting Harris was "appointed by Biden as border czar," but also said in an editor's note that it had "incorrectly" labeled Harris a border czar. At least it admitted it originally called her that.

It was one of the most remarkably dishonest moments in American journalism, a once revered industry that in recent years has lost the trust of the people to report the news in a full, fair and accurate way. And it wasn't just Axios. The gaslighting of readers across multiple news organizations has been equally repulsive -- and it may just be the final straw in that relationship between readers and news organizations....quoting Zito

You may have noticed that the MSM is chock-full of "Kamala GREATEST" half-truths, starting with their "polls" (using 60 (D)/40 (R) sets, a ridiculous split) and moving toward their "MASSIVE fund-raising" claptrap--where they fail to mention that whale (D) donors had withheld $80++ million from the Biden effort, not to mention the Smurfing through Act Blue, moving donations from overseas (?) Russian sources (?), or good ol' Georgie Soros....

Yet they wonder why people don't buy their birdcage liner any more.

GTA + Kidnapping = Probation in Milwaukee

If you still don't know why Milwaukee has a serious crime problem, consider this:

Two men who stole a car with two young girls inside at an Oak Creek Kwik Trip have been sentenced to probation and no prison time.

That's the genius (and super-annuated) Judge Jeffrey Wagner's handiwork.

Great signal you sent there, Judge!

McConnell the Turtle Denounces "America First"

This comes as no surprise at all given his PRChinese $$Zillionaire wife:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said on Friday that the foreign policy vision that former President Donald Trump and Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), Trump’s running mate, espouse is “nonsense.”...

...Although he did not directly reference Trump or Vance, McConnell called the “America First” foreign policy doctrine “nonsense.”...

Wait, wait!!  You haven't seen the good parts yet!

...“I mean, even the slogans are what they were in the 30s — ‘America First,'” McConnell added....

Yah, and the Constitution is what it was in 1789 or so.  As a reminder, Mitchie-Poo, that document was written for Americans first.  JFK was a member of the "America First" coalition.  He would piss all over your grave if he could.

And there's even more!!

...Despite McConnell’s strong support for Ukraine’s protracted war, he admitted in an interview in July that he is not sure what a Ukrainian victory against Russia looks like — after spending more than $175 billion in aid to Ukraine....

McConnell is the proverbial dirty diaper in desperate need of a change.  He should retire in Beijing to sing his Globaloney song there.

Olympic "Cashless" FAIL

Yes, the porn/blasphemy will forever mark this Olympics.

But there's another thing:  the Olympics are also "cashless," as are many of the hotels and restaurants surrounding the venue.

One problem:  nobody is there.

Economy Getting Uglier

Below we mentioned the deterioration of the PMI index.  They weren't good.

Now we get the employment stats from BLS:

...the BLS reported that in July, the US added just 114K payrolls, a huge miss to expectations of 175K and also a huge drop from the downward revised June print of 206K, now (as always ) revised to just 179K. This was the lowest print since December 2020 ...

And there were the usual downward revisions for past reporting months, too.

Household survey agrees with the job problem.

...the number of people employed (per the Household survey) rose half the number of payrolls, up just 67K...which means that while the fake Payrolls print is now finally topping, the number of actually employed workers hasn't changed in the past year...

You can see the charts and graphs at the link.

Trump is going to have a very rough first two years.
