Some midwit "social studies" teacher at an Elmbrook middle school loves her some Castro quote, so she made it available to everyone who passed by her room.
So brave. So courageous. Hear her ROAR!!
Parents were concerned and another Elmbrook midwit titled "Chief Strategy Officer" issued a written response which was non-responsive. That's apparently what's meant by "Strategy."
...He said it was intended to “cause reflection on how things change over time, particularly in the context of the class’ unit of study on the industrial revolution.”
Students were asked to explain some of the noticeable changes during the industrial revolution, such as a transition to a manufacturing economy, impact of new inventions, or the varied uses of different energy sources, Thompson said.
“Without context of the class and the topic for discussion, we recognize this quote could serve various purposes. We are grateful to those who asked about the context to better understand its intention and use in one of our classrooms,” the chief strategy officer added....
Industrial revolution. Compares to Castro's blood-soaked insurrection.
Sure.
At one time, Elmbrook was considered a premier education provider. Of course, that required hiring premier faculty and staff.
Things change, eh?
