Milwaukee's 'pension problem' has been in the news for a few years, and Milwaukee has not done one damn thing about it except appoint a commission.
Why a pension problem? Because Da Union, that's why. Who funds the campaigns of local politicians? So who gets the reward?
Yes, there are other parts to the whole. Barrett would rather spend money on Choo Choo trains than on fixing the pension problem. He'd also rather spend money on "activists." Did you know that the City has SIX employees who spend all day on "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion"?
Doh.
So now Milwaukee wants State money. They won't get it from the Legislature at this time, so they'll temporarily raise the sales tax in the City, hoping that in a few years there will be a far-left majority in the Legislature with a Daffy Duck governor just like Tin-Pot Tony Evers.
Smart move, eh? Slam your residents with even higher taxes, let crime run rampant, keep schools which are totally useless, and expect that your residents will stay.
Right!
