But the non-tragedies they have come up with (beer-labeling problems, FHA approvals, weights-and-measures uncertainties) beg a question:
Why are these matters and issues a preserve of the FedGov? Why not the States?
We will concede that only the FedGov can issue FHA loan approvals. Fine.
But is the FedGov's approval REALLY necessary for proposed beer-labels? Is the FedGov the only agency who can be trusted to check weights-and-measures? The only one capable of inspecting meats?
Every time you read another story about The End Of The World Is Upon Us, think: who else could do that job well, and why aren't they doing it?
You may be surprised.
